the arguments never makes sense as well :toofunny3:

the idea of not listening to music in a different language just because you don’t understand it sounds stupid to me :rip:

Then they brag about their American faves being global which means many people that don't speak English listen to them... Make it make sense :rip:

Imagine snubbing this masterpiece just because it's in a "different language" :dancehall:

most of them saying it's too artificial and too manufactured as if their grown asses aren't obsessed 24/7 over sales and charts from the MPGs they stan and hate participating directly in the also heavily manufactured industry of Western music. :rip:

Big Facts! :clap3:

The company needs to understand that people aren't here for Mia like that, which I have stated before in here.

Onda is where the money is at! >>>>>>

onda-everglow.gif

She’s their best performer so it’s a bit shocking that they don’t utilize her

Issue is that their sound is so mixed. Like they want to appeal to Korea but also the west, but Koreans will not let them thrive for some reason? Like they're pretty harmless. They're not total flops but they're also not super selling well. They need to give Onda more screentime, she eats Mia and Yiren up

Also the fact that their signed with a Chinese company. They will never win. Just release quality noise music for the gays

and the funny thing is if those “artifical” and “manufactured” k-pop songs were released by any of the western mpgs atrl would be losing their ****

You have taste! :clap3:

Btw, Stray Kids are actually known for not sounding Korean though, which is some Koreans pay them dust.:rip: They have instead a very unique sound that is very them. Like I have never heard a song like "God's Menu" before. It's also because as you mentioned that their songs are written and produced by the member themselves from scratch. Even all the members are also handpicked by Bang Chan himself. It was also the members who came with the name "Stray Kids". Stray Kids are an experimental group by JYP and he took a big risk when he allowed Bang Chan to build his own team, which has not been done in K-pop before and could have been a total failure. Also Bang Chan, Han and Changbin have written songs long before they joined JYP, so the members could already write and compose and they were good at it. Also JYP does not interfere in their music because any interference will impact the dynamics and take away from the group's identity. Of course JYP has to approve whether the songs can be release or not.

This is why Stray Kids are so different from the rest, cause they have created everything by themselves :clap3:

Oh wow, I didn’t know they had that much creative freedom  And it’s interesting that their sound isn’t warmly received by Koreans—I really thought it’d be the opposite :rip: Their music at times remind me of K-pop from the early '10s (in the best way possible, of course), where there was just a lot more emphasis in concrete melodies.

Their DIY ethic is really something tho. It’s insane that a company like JYP put that much faith in him to even go far as select members for the group :clap3:

Everglow is really one these groups which I thought they would smash. BBC is a masterpiece I was obsessed they’re doing well internationally and their sales were good for a non-big4 groups. But for some reason they never smashed, even with an amazing like La di da Korea payed them dust and even the international fans let this song flop.
Yiren isn’t coming back it’s clear, they don’t need these long hiatus quick her honestly. Never understood why they pushed her when she’s Chinese and she doesn’t even touch Mia’s charisma.
You would think onda is talentless because she gets no lines and screen time but sis is talented and the best dancer of the group.
I really want them to succeed. :gaycat6:

Yena is signed to them and she got a Top 10 hit and a 120k+ album :rip:

All these CFs :rip: Mijoo will be the perfect example of high Korean GP popularity and relevance, but small fanbase (especially internationally). I wonder how her solo will perform.

The funniest thing to me is when western pop fans call kpop idols robots like yeah they spend many hours training singing and dancing and the end product is very syncronized is that supposed to be a drag? :skull:

Spring Day vibes

spring day sweetie :biblio:

this is low budget trash and will do nothing for them. i blame the fans who keep asking for the hyyh era to come back for this mess, they've been looking back on their career like some legacy act for the past two years and it's annoying

drop a banger like mic drop and let go of that era already, its magic can't be replicated by bts themselves or any other group

Those sales came from IZ*ONE fans. She’d have even less sales than EVERGLOW if she was some random solo artist :rip:

@Ephemeralit all depends. But antenna, her company doesn't pull big numbers like that. They have long lasting BGM charting and radio chart played songs.

Do not compare HYYH with this, it had lore, banger titles like INU, Run, Fire and albums with multiple new songs. Nothing to do with this borefest :biblio:

True, but I feel like you can't base her performance on any of Antenna's existing artists...she's the only idol, and presumably the only one who will have actual choreo (and budget) lmao :rip: She's also already the 2nd most popular celebrity in antenna by far behind YJS but it's weird because I have no idea what to expect for her actual solo since Antenna's never done anything idol-like.

These (flop disbanded) queens really gave me two of my all-time favorite retro-disco songs within the same year, whew 2013 was a moment :jonny2:

it's not even comparable but they keep trying to bank on the nostalgia of that era to appease the fans with these half-assed attempts and their references and it's tiring

---

we need a hiphop title track, that's what they do best
