hate to say it but HYBE absolutely won this year  NewJeans had the best release of the year by far and LSRF also released great music.

Starship is #2(LD and AL) and JYP #3(POP and TTT)

Jisus getting the most lines in a song for the 2nd time in their whole career Maybe that's why "Yeah 3x" is my favorite song on the album

That's Eunchae who has been getting all of The Garam Angel's lines ever since she got kicked out. So if The Garam Angel had stayed, she would've sung those lines instead of Eunchae with her angelic vocals, but y'all were to busy believing in rumors, so now y'all are stuck with Eunchae's "LiiiiOOOOOn"

Starship tbh. It was one of the better years for them. IVE, WJSN, Monsta X and Kihyun all ate. Even Cravity got better. Although, they were annoying with all those single albums.

 

Big 3 lowkey fell off. BP, RV, aespa and Nayeon had nice releases and that's kinda it for me.

 

I hate to admit but HYBE is winning with LSFM and NJ. Their songs are good but their concepts and budget are even better.

HYBE had a great year with LE SSERAFIM, NewJeans and Seventeen all having great singles and nice albums overall. I also really liked fromis-9's first mini of the year.

 

Their only problem were BTS-TXT-ENHYPEN. They all delivered sub-par to horrible title tracks. It's weird that it was seeming like HYBE was going to focus only on their 4th gen bg, but I feel like the gg are going to dominate the company going forward.

We love him again

 

Remember when HYBE girl groups were cursed… now look at them carrying the company. 

le sserafim girls actually sound nice but hybe’s vocal processing makes them sound like those distorted autotune memes 

it’s not as bad as TXT and BTS (yet) so maybe we should be thankful

Huh Yunjin is such a good vocalist but you'd have literally no idea because of Hybe's vocal processing  

Like it's a little better on Antifragile but they are still hiding miss thing and I hate that

I hate her voice on antifragile. Her voice after Chaewon on the first verse is literally grating

 

She sounded majestic on PD48 so idk what they're doing with her

 

one thing we don't talk about enough is the way HYBE 4th gen GGs are setting the new standard for what kpop choreo SHOULD look like: fun, dynamic, lots of personality, no random hand-waving all over the place

 

I feel like corny choreography is usually what turns a lot of non-kpop-fans off the genre

 

YG better be hiring some good choreographers for Baemon or they'll be dead on arrival

TWICE started this trend of easy and simple hand choreography for GGs that's just meant for mass consumption and going viral. 

 

Now SM is trying to go for the same thing with aespa with always having some viral-potential signature "hand" move

 

SM used to have amazing choreo and now their choreo has become so watered down and basic.
