SharGaga Posted October 3 Posted October 3 As a cinephile Joker 2 is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It all makes sense now that Todd and Joaquin are giving major narcissistic vibes. Only a narcissistic director and lead actor would think this movie was worth making. Don't waste your money on this guys. This isn't a good look for Gaga's acting career no matter how hard she tried. Why she chose this film is beyond me. She needs to stop choosing these high profile roles with old directors that screw her over in the editing process. It's over for Todd and Joaquin. Atleast Gaga has music to fall back to. 3 2

Snakeskinbr Posted October 3 Posted October 3 I'm going to watch the movie tonight. I'm really curious to see if it's as bad as people/critics are making it to be.

Merryem Posted October 3 Posted October 3 LG7 lead single coming on the heels of 2 panned critical and commercial bombs her redemption arc is coming 2
SharGaga Posted October 3 Posted October 3 I keep going back to that one critic that said that it seems the movie was bad on purpose. Because the editing girl... Do y'all remember that Mr Bean movie where they were screening a movie in the film and it was all about the lead actor and the girl in the movie got her scene cut when she's walking with an umbrella on the bridge past the leading actor? That's exactly what Gaga's scenes felt like. It's so obvious they were cut because the editing is so bad whenever she's on screen especially her last scene LMAO. 3 1
Florence Belch Posted October 3 Posted October 3 The most random thing my bf said once the credits started rolling was "Well, if we consider it a Gaga video, it's surely a fabulous one!" Don't know if he was joking, still gave him a good head at the end of the night though 7
Almodusa Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Is it me or did Gaga start the first HM chorus on Kimmel half a second early? 1

Bamboo Posted October 3 Posted October 3 2 critically panned movies in a row oh I know sis is gonna come for a prestigious HBO miniseries next to clear her name 4

POPTART Posted October 3 Posted October 3 I'm literally not bothered one bit by the film panning Like, her acting has been praised by multiple critics, and Todd deserves all the lashing for butchering her role and the film overall. She'll definitely bounce back with good project and LG7

Word of mouth is so bad right now it will probably drop to 0.5 cents next week. 1
Artur Posted October 3 Posted October 3 (edited) Also, Close To You and Happy Mistake rising on Spotify! I feel like the album may exceed expectations a bit too. Who knows. It's still #2 on iTunes, rose a bit on AM and the performance will probably also help. Edited October 3 by Artur 1

Badgalbriel Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Yeah, many people will see it this weekend, but no one will want to see it next week because of bad word of mouth.
oinkamaraj Posted October 3 Posted October 3 if this can get somewhat close to 600M i think it wouldn't be considered a bomb just a commercial disappointment 1
Florence Belch Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Just now, jesus del rey said: More like a Joaquin video where Gaga had a one second cameo At one point I heard one of the couples behind us (the screening was strangely packed) whisper "Why are they constantly showing us his skeleton ass singing like a dying cat" I kinda ijbol'd, the good sis was NOT having it 1
