Colmillo Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Spoiler I don't wanna be that person but did anyone else find the guy that stabbed Arthur to be kinda hot? 1 2

GraceRandolph Posted October 3 Posted October 3 I'd love for Gaga to do cameos in Wednesday and AHS 13. Maybe some cute cameos would be fun? JFAD has humbled me. 1

Colmillo Posted October 3 Posted October 3 This was really Gaga's best acting so far I love that she keeps getting better and better, hopefully her next role isn't underused like Harley and she can really show everything that she has to offer 1
EnigmaticAndroid Posted October 3 Posted October 3 If the rumor that Joaquin was a diva and got Gaga's scenes get cut is true... Blast that sh*t all over the news! Make it a viral scandal! I want the world to know that Godga was SABOTAGED by that f*cking rat HAG! That's ha narrative and we will let it be known! 1 1 9
babyforlife Posted October 3 Posted October 3 i feel like the majority of gp doesn't even know that the jfad is musical, expecting it to be like jared and margot kind of movie but darker.. because 3 of my friends who don't really follow pop culture went to cinema last night to watch this, and after they finished watching, their main complain is, its being musical

eleganceislearned Posted October 3 Posted October 3 I have a bit of a long rant: One thing I've noticed while checking out Box Office Theory, Reddit, Comic Book Guy Twitter etc., is honestly how dim the majority of them are. On par with stan twitter. The conclusions they come to are insane. Just no literacy whatsoever. Spoiler The consensus with them is that the guy at the end is Heath Ledgers Joker, just played by a different dude lmao. It's like all they really wanted from these movies is a Joker vs. Batman fight, and that's it. It's like they can't comprehend that this is basically a standalone variant. I've never been into comics and even I'm familiar with the concepts of different takes and one-off universes. A majority just want more DC/Marvelverse shite instead of taking these two movies as it's own thing. So in addition to the snobbery of film twitter aka The Bereted Gays (tm Jolie's Lips) and critics who intentionally take everything in bad faith because they hate comic book movies so much, I really want to watch this & come to my own conclusions because there is such bias from both sides. I myself am pressed at Toad for reportedly not making the most of Talentry, as well as letting Joaquin do whatever he wanted instead of standing firmly with a strong vision, but I'm at least willing to go into it with a bit more of an open mind about it than some of these annoying people. 1
Colmillo Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Spoiler Anyone else thinks that maybe Harley did kill herself in Arthur's apartment when he called her and she didn't pick up, and that the Harley that he sees at the stairs is just a perfect_illusion.mp3 or is it just me? 3
EnigmaticAndroid Posted October 3 Posted October 3 1 hour ago, Denim said: I do agree with previous pages: her immediate, core little monster fanbase does feel noticeably smaller now than it did in 2020, which also felt smaller than it did in 2016… But the opposite end is also true. In 2024, she feels bigger and more universally loved by the general public than she did in 2020, and 2020 was a huge improvement from 2016. It's interesting to see her core, highly involved fanbase get smaller while her love outside the fanbase gets bigger. There's definitely tons of pages of discussion we could have as to why this is, and this isn't necessarily a bad or good thing, it just is what it is. But it definitely feels true based on my perception of it Reveal hidden contents Counterpoint: her fanbase may not've shrunk, it just may be way less engaged/deeply involved as we used to be. Which is fair considering us aging as well as her being fairly inactive musically for the last 8 years. I definitely think her base just isn't as constantly excited anymore. She's too sporadically active and does too many things that are somewhat divisive amongst her core fans for them to show up full force for every single thing she does. Like the idea of a companion Harley album was amazing but the fact that it was mostly jazz covers deflated the hype. If she does something that her base genuinely wants from her and can feel excited for, they'll support in droves. I actually feel confident that we'll go all out for LG7 considering the direction she's going with it. 4 2

And it would explain all her cut scenes. Since most of them probably built to it once she's pissed about him denouncing joker Yes this was the rumored ending. Grace Randolph has been teasing this for a while and said yesterday during her stream she was Spoiler glad the ending changed because the other one "wouldn't have worked out well for gaga"
Colmillo Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Spoiler Also, since Harley lied a lot to Arthur I wonder if she was actually pregnant or if it was all a lie, because girl Arthur's stroke game was WEAK as hell 2

Nikko Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Yeah I saw the movie last night and Spoiler it's safe to say she's not getting an Oscar nom. it's not because of her acting, in my opinion she did 10/10 (maybe her best acting so far) it's just that I don't see the movie getting any love even though we already know that

Andraslop Posted October 3 Posted October 3 "Since publishing our first Long Range Forecast for the Joker sequel in early September (north of $100M), our expectations on this one have been cut by nearly half. Here was a movie that seemingly had everything going for it: tracking and awareness through the roof, coming off Deadpool & Wolverine's record opening weekend for an R-rated comic book movie, and the October box office having a clear lane for this to hit when it opens in 4,100 theaters. Our own tracking started pointing downard when the pre-sales period began—and failed to yield any momentum for the title. Sales never picked up—despite high awareness figures and trailer views—spiraling our own forecasts in recent weeks. The reactions to the film from the Venice Film Festival bow were mixed, and reviews this week haven't helped the film at all. While some critics have embraced it, the current Rotten Tomatoes aggregate is 58% rotten (the first had 69% fresh). Adding the musical element may also be a big turnoff for the male fanboy demo, who will have their thirst for a more traditional superhero movie quenched by Venom: The Last Dance in just a few short weeks, giving Joker a limited timeframe to run wild". The way they predicted $115-145M OW, just 30 days ago (even after Venice), and now they only predict $50-60M..... https://www.boxofficepro.com/long-range-forecast-joker-folie-a-deux-tracking-for-100m-debut/ 1
NextBish90 Posted October 3 Posted October 3 You guys, Gaga is brilliant in the movie, so professional and it seems she's doing it with ease and she loves acting, clearly the passion is visible. 3
