Oh please, how do you guys assume there won't be other better scenes in the movie for Gaga? Just because those were the leaked scenes we got to see doesn't mean that's all there is to the movie. Let's wait until we make the final judgement

I'm a lil concerned that Gaga's new song won't even come close to DWAS on the charts. Like imagine how big the airplay could be on overall radio by the end of this month alone  

 

I guess we will find out once it drops! Imagine it's another ballad and the rest of the album is dark bawps

yeah the next film she does needs to have her as the lead front and center. So far she's been playing second fidle and thats fine as she builds her reputation as an actress. She is also picking great films but imo she needs to act more. Like do one movie a year or every two years at least and try out different genres too. It will lower expectations which will then help her branch out and take more acting risks. Right now i feel like Gaga probably sets herself up by not doing that many films because there is always such massive anticipation which is great because it means more ppl wanting to buy tickets out of curiosity to see how she does BUT it also means she is giving away her star power to these directors who dont seem to believe in her and almost always render her a secondary character instead of the lead despite her top billing in most of these movies...

The next movie should be a indie small budget project that focuses SOLELY on her and really pushes her acting chops and then she should have some fun and maybe take on a witty comedy or something light.

Atp, I'm literally just hoping and praying that by the grace of God(ga), if they did in fact cut a bunch of her material that they see how obvious of a f*ck up it was, do some quick re-editing, pull a Bardo, and release a new cut when it gets officially released in October. Basically every critic is screaming that Gaga was wasted and it was a fundamental error in the film. If they have the material on the cutting room floor... just add some of it back in. 

 

I know damn well it ain't happening and I'm just kiing and coping, but it's not without precedent and it'd be the smartest move they could make right now.

EXACTLY! I also faintly remember Barbie getting lots of reshoots up to close to its release. In JFAD's case they would already have the scenes and would just have to arrange them back in and maybe do like one reshoot or something. It's feasible and has been done before but something tells me Todd is a bit of a hard head and prob thinks this is just another disconnect between the critics and the audience like what happened with the first Joker.

Agree. And doing 1 film every 3 years just places so many expectations on it. Joker getting divisive reviews and not being the showcase for her that people expected wouldn't be an issue at all... if she didn't pull all of her eggs in this one basket. And this is coming off of her previous film that has the perception of being a misfire even if she excelled in it. She's being a bit too exclusive in her choices and career moves. 

 

I hope she and her team realize this and aren't scared to pick up the pace. When you look at her schedule since 2020, there's no real reason why she hasn't filmed more than 2 projects other than that she's chosen not to. She a huge star, she's been building respect and acclaim, and she probably has tons of great scripts and offers coming her way. There's no reason to not start capitalizing off of that anymore. It'd be advantageous to her career to be a bit more prolific given that she has the ability to basically choose her work.

It's quite probable, let's be honest. From what we know, the album will be on the edgier side, so we can't really expect smash hits from it, but hey, hopefully we love the music for what it is.

I guess there's always a chance that the lead single will beore accessible, but it's still rare that "dance Gaga" gets charts love - she always goes for slightly more aggressive and bold sounds and I'm not sure that's the GP's taste.

The thing is the times Gaga has talked about LG7 or even the Chromatica Ball Film, she's looked significantly more upbeat and happy. Also, she's been talking a lot lately about the power of music. I feel like we are in for a return to form

as much as I would love to see Gaga having massive success and acclaim in movies, I wouldn't mind if she slowed down a bit after LG7. 

Michael seems like a great person, and if she wanted to take a break from her career to have family/kids, I wouldn't be mad at all. our girl deservess all the happiness in the world.

Couldnt have said it better tbh. 

She is likely rejecting lots of amazing projects to fully invest in these roles she does pick but ultimately I hope that she switches tactics a little. It's time to flex that acting muscle. It also helps that she seems to be REALLY passionate about acting in ways that she hasn't been with music for a while now (I think its ok to say that in 2024). 

The hyperselectiveness needs to end for her sake. There's only benefits to her doing more roles now. 

It seems like this may be clicking at long last. In some weird ways I could literally feel her being more demure during the venice media table...idk if she was just low on energy but I could sense some moderate disappointment in some weird way (arm chair analysis lol) but yeah...I think it's clicking ot her that being super selective, not doing more roles and gives your 110% / putting all your eggs in one basket isnt going to pay off the way she thinks it would.

fair enough tbh. If she doesnt do that many movies for the sake of personal life then it makes sense but as @EnigmaticAndroid mentioned, there wasnt really a legitimate reason for her not doing more roles between 2019 and 2024 tbh. She was being hyper selective at her own cost and putting all her eggs in JFAD only to then seemingly be edited down to near supporting character status in a film that promised to have her near equal footing with Joaquin based on the movie's billing and promo cycle thus far.

Let me remind you that original movie got VERY mixed reviews from the critics and that they were even negative leaning and the general public ended up loving the movie (except for incels who wanted a typical DC movie without any depth). Reviews from the critics are IN MOST CASES not equal to the general public's opinions. Also there are many movies where critics were amazed but general public hated them. Lets wait and see.

To those saying that Gaga should do movies yearly or so y'all forgetting that you are stanning for a musician, an a-list one at that. Gaga CANNOT afford to shoot and have movies almost every year because she's not a pure actress like  Cate, Margott etc. Apart from being a musician first and foremost, she's also the founder of a large make up company. Just be grateful that she continues to accept movie roles even if they take 3 years to release

he was the first to leak the real Girlfriend  instrumental and it got taken down after 2 hours. Weeks later he also posted the HQ 7 second Girlfriend leak which got copyrighted a day later. 

He said he heard a short 40 second snippet of Girlfriend in June and it sounded like fame monster

It's not that common and I don't expect it to happen, but it'd be a good move (assuming they did in fact edit out parts of her role in the end).
