Soup in Teapot Posted May 30 Posted May 30 It's actually pathetic and sick to witness monsters themselves ruining lg7's rollout again. 1 7 1 1

trueromance Posted May 30 Posted May 30 i can't believe in 15 years we don't have a live album. the cherrytree sessions, a very gaga holiday, and SSOH live in nyc just don't cut it i need to be able to stream her screaming at me to put my hands up 2
Sannie Posted May 30 Posted May 30 (edited) 3 hours ago, Dad said: This is all tea, even though we stan an artist does not mean we can not call them out when they are silent in the face of injustice, she has a voice, she should use it. Imagine if the gay or trans community were being killed the way palestinians are, genocided from existence, she would rightfully speak up. Yall can drag me all you want but if she claims to be an activist/ peace advocate she should do it not only when it is convenient but also in times like these. It is bad enough she hasn't distanced herself from the biden administration considering they are complicit in genocide. Well then, it would make sense for her, a queer activist, to speak up. She has always been very good at "staying in her lane" when it comes to her activism. Quote It is bad enough she hasn't distanced herself from the biden administration considering they are complicit in genocide. No, it is not. The alternative to Biden is a man and a political party who quite literally want queer people dead, and who will do everything to make queer American's lives a living hell if they gain power. She knows this. She understands the nuance and is not going to throw queer Americans away just to please Internet warriors. Not saying you specifically, but many stans only want their faves to say something so they can use it as stan fodder. They are embarrassed to stan someone who has not said anything because it is the hot topic right now. It has nothing to do with the lives of Palestinians. Should she say something? Yes. Do I want her to? Also, yes, but some of you are just being OTT with this. 4 hours ago, Summer Boy said: Then she should resign. Biden is utter trash anyway, she should've left him a long time ago! Biden is literally one of the few things keeping Republicans from enacting widespread bans on being transgender, gay people marrying, queer people being parents, and virtually every right queer people have earned over the past fifty years. Thank GOD Gaga is not throwing that away. And she should not throw it away for something that is not happening in the US. Whether you virtue signalers want to admit it or not, the US is in a very, very shitty position right now. We have to choose between a guy who is funding genocide in a foreign country and a guy who will enact genocide (on immigrants and queer people) in the US. As an American, I am going to default to the one that harms me, my family, and my friends less. I do not have the luxury of choosing another country right now. Edited May 30 by Sannie 2 13 1
Dylangaga Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Some of the members of this fanbase ONLY stan Gaga when it is CONVENIENT for them. Let's not start ATTACKING Gaga when she is about to release a single. It NEVER fails go spend your time harassing other artists. 3 9
H34rtOfCharcoal Posted May 30 Posted May 30 (edited) Can we please let LG7 be a clean era, not botched by politics? Edited because I don't want to add flame to this debate that will go nowhere Edited May 30 by H34rtOfCharcoal 1
Pipii Posted May 30 Posted May 30 (edited) Can they harass the billionaire Swift instead? She has much more influence on the world than Gar, and debt with the people in social issues. Edited May 30 by Pipii 3 1
GGD Posted May 30 Posted May 30 She cannot be intervening in politics especially when she's embroiled and part of the current administration. I also think that she has learned a lot during the Trump administration. She can't be a divisive figure especially when her fanbase now consists of Gen X's who side with Israel. The Pandemic was an entirely difference case versus the Israel-Palestine conflict. It was a global and bilogical issue that has affected humanity itself, while this war has so much political and historical rifts that only the Middle East and the U.S. could solve.

Gen Xers are not the ones hardcore streaming her / buying her vinyl I would hope the majority of her fan base ought to be liberal young people who are hopefully pro-ceasefire

frankvert Posted May 30 Posted May 30 The fact that THIS is the Gaga who made LG7 and not a depressed, chain-smoking Malibu h0e… we are not ready 2 1

Waaiit that "the monster's around" melody and vocal is INSANE This is the clearest attempt that I've heard so far at separating the layers. frankvert Posted May 30 Posted May 30 (edited) This may or may not get me dragged but it must be said. Like it or not, HOLLYWOOD and the music industry at large is run by Jews. Gaga is not going to pander to never-satisfied SJWs with a statement on the matter and risk tarnishing her industry goodwill. Especially on such a complex, deeply rooted historical conflict that she frankly has no business discussing because she's neither Jewish nor Palestinian. It's a zero sum game Objectively, there's blood on the hands of both sides and each VEHEMENTLY thinks the other is wrong. I don't think I've ever seen a more polarized war in my lifetime (yes, even moreso than in the Middle East post 9/11). It's a NASTY war that Gaga should stay out of. I commend her silence, cause what is a pop star going to do about it anyway? You want change, go lobby against the military industrial complex that is THRIVING off this war. Or better yet, protest with the virtue signaling Columbia students who are too chicken **** to have packed a lunch for their "takeover," and who have the luxury of either (i) paying $90k in yearly college tuition; or (ii) having other taxpayers pay for it via grants/scholarships/student loans. Moral of the story: the world is ******* ugly. Stop looking for the answer to world peace in entertainers like Gaga, who allow people to escape from the ugliness via artistic contributions to society and displays of sheer talent on a global stage. You're barking up the wrong tree. And just because she's spoken up about social issues before doesn't mean she has to comment on all of them, especially what's going on in Gaza. Tovitov Posted May 30 Posted May 30 I see Little Monsters are having a normal one Gaga can speak out if she wants, but theres something wrong about a mob of stans trying to get their favorite pop girlies to take a position on a serious issue which they have no power or control over. It feels self serving. 4

You're a monster who's supporting this ly*ng brainwash!!!ng "state". they care about the world's problems. We're humans after all - should we only care about music from an artist who built her career on supporting human rights and leaving no one behind? we're talking about a gen*cide happening, a state using their powers over some fake pr*paganda created by the evil. WAKE UP! The world doesn't revolve around music and albums, yes i'll enjoy LG7 whenever it comes even if it comes out now in the middle of what's happening! But I'd appreciate an effort from someone who always convinces me that they care about human rights. 8 1 2
