yes that will be biggest hindrance for Gaga. Even with pop sound of stupid love / ROM, radios didn't fully supported it. Especially how massive Ariana is on pop radios.

 

Getting airplay with Selena/Dua/Beyonce/Taylor songs on horizon will be tough regardless of genre. At least Ariana song had peaked

By the way, I am slightly weary of this "threat" discourse. No one poses a threat to Gaga, she is undoubtedly one of the greatest. However, is it possible that the record label might consider avoiding a release on the same date as someone like Shakira? Maybe yes, not because she would be a threat on Spotify or whatever 

 

Just yesterday, we were discussing how they might steer clear of releasing on the same day as Selena, simply because they are both under Interscope, even though Selena may be considered even less of a "threat."

 

In the end, we are merely speculating.

when its come to peak on Hot100, I think she can get top 10 any week except Taylor first week. If Gaga song did clashed with Beyonce's second single, it will only impact one position on hot100.

Highly doubt it. The record company only cares about peaks in the USA and western countries. 

 

Girl, every single week a big artist releases something. Some of them pop girls, some of them not. Shakira and Gaga's markets are completely different

Taylors 4 weeks after release are dangerous. She is known to randomly drop extra vinyls on week 3 or 4 or 5 and whatever and sell a ton

I know a lot of you are hoping for some kind of smash (for online validation), but let us be real. Gaga will debut high and then freefall unless she gets lucky and the public catches on lol. Since UMG are dickheads, we need someone to start a viral sign language trend on TikTok for her new single.

 

We can not really complain about her not releasing and then be like, "well if you do release then you have to wait until after this, this, and this."

The fact that none of these insiders (RideorDie, BlackOutZone, Blade, etc) have a concrete date for this spring tells me that they really are planning a surprise drop. I hope her team tightened stuff up after Chromatica. The leaks with that era were ridiculous. 

I think single March, album early June would work.
