I love Dancelly and all, but this is her sad/angry divorce record... did anyone really think it'd be a dance album??

 

She has plenty of other dance/upbeat songs on other albums, like PxP (Dance With Me says hiiiiiiiii)

I feel like I'm beating a dead horse, but I always have to bring it up. Despite what everyone on ATRL thinks, there is no playlisting “payola”. Yes, an artist wants to be on the biggest playlist in a prime spot, but that's not something you can just pay for. Apple/Spotify have full control over that. 

 

There are certain things an artist/label can do, like Spotify sessions, etc. that might help them get better playlisting, but other than that, it's out if their hands.

 

“We have great relationships with all of the labels, managers and artists. Our ultimate goal is to give fans the music they want to hear and our playlists are a reflection of that. We have the tools to know when a song isn’t working on a particular playlist and when the audience isn’t responding to it. We have a democratic and unique approach to playlisting, so for us it’s all about good music. Labels can not (or don’t) pay to get on Spotify’s owned and operated playlists.”

but I guess this must be groundbreaking territory for Kelly and streaming (unless anyone can think of any other artist that’s done this with the preview clips on Spotify and then making them into a playlist). Someone get Kelly Clarkson Stats to investigate and post promo about it

Wait so is it true that Brynn's song didn't make it into the full album? So bummed if it's true cause she's such a talented songwriter. She even said that the song is one of the best songs that she's ever written. Instead, we got an IDTY/Blessed-ish song written by a tiktok influencer. Mehhh

This might be a long shot, but did the beginning of the clip of Me remind anyone of the lyrics from Maybe? She said “all you have to do is hold me” and “I just need to be loved” and now she’s sayin she doesn’t need any of that. And then there was that rumor (I think?) where Maybe might’ve been about B*andon when they first met
