Wait her tweet reached 100k likes? It's kinda wild she got those many likes for a non music, non picture related tweet! The hype is definitely there!

I doubt she has nothing done. Rock In Rio confirmed the new set list will have new songs, so the album has to be out before she performs there. But it does surprise me that we haven't had any major leaks up until now. We had an HQ leak of Smile a whole year before the album came out.

Yeah she is definitely putting out the album in between June and August but I'm surprised KP6 took this long tbh. We've been getting the "Katy Perry is writing new music" rumors since 2021 and it's astounding it took three years after that for an album!

 

Maybe she scrapped the 2021 version of KP6, remember when she was teasing an acoustic album and how What Makes A Woman was supposed to be the transition into KP6? I think she may have written some songs in that direction in 2021 but ultimately decided against in 2023. Also, I don't think she wrote anything during 2022 and the first half of 2023 with PLAY, Daisy and American Idol.

I think it had more to do with wanting to spend most of her time with Daisy. She definitely wasn't ready to put out an album and go on a world tour that would start in 2022 and end in 2023 while also being a mother, which is why PLAY happened.

I hope this is the case, and she is been working in a lot of songs so she can make a full cohesive album (like witness but better).

It's actually annoying because she can clearly see that people love easter eggs (well, Taylor definitely made them more popular recently) and she even started to slowly play into them, but she seemed to be teasing and then wasted such a good date to say something about new music.  

she has been teasing the butterfly theme for three damn years.

Idk this person keeps saying she will release something next week, and they've been right about a bunch of other releases (apparently). So I choose to believe cause it's convenient for me.

A photo or short clip in the studio would have sufficed. That 143 post was cute but I don't think that helped generate buzz for her new music. We know she's coming but it s really taking her so long.
