Katy Perry LIVE from the AFL Grand Final (Australian Superbowl)
What a foolish thing to gauge overall audience reaction with a few "laughing/silent" faces from the crowd. Anyway, the tour tickets are selling out. I'd say it was a smart move to coincide rolling out the dates in Australia with the AFL performance.

Is Katy Perry more relevant than Lady Gaga?
You might argue that Gaga is more relevant but that's largely because of her movie career. You might say that it's because of her "talent" and there's nothing wrong with that. Meanwhile, Katy Perry stayed on her lane: pop music. Both have become less relevant, but only one of them is working (if not trying) tooooo hard fighting for relevancy.

Billboard Charts (Week of October 5, 2024)
I use TTPD from time to time. Taylor has been untouchable in the last few years and everyone knows that - it would be delusional to think otherwise. But does that mean the quality is good? There are better songs in TTPD than Fortnight: MBOBHFT and TSMWEL, for instance. But that Fortnight song doesn't hold a candle to Katy's worst song in 143. If you sincerely enjoy Fortnight, I feel sincerely honestly sorry for you.

We gotta support where it is needed. STREAM I'M HIS, HE'S MINE

Lady Gaga's 'Harlequin' debuts zero songs on Global Spotify | Day 8: 1.88M (-16%)
To be fair, nobody expected this to do well but I couldn't believe it would flop this hard, considering how much hype there is around new music from her. I love the ASIB soundtrack so I gave this a listen and it's not far from bad. However, nothing is really memorable from this project. I will probably give it another go later, but I hope she moves on quickly into LG7. P.S. The visuals for this project are underwhelming.

Katy Perry LIVE from the AFL Grand Final (Australian Superbowl)
No one is doing it like her. She's a flop when it comes to streaming, yes, BUT she's totally serving with these performances. She's booked and busy and 143 feels like a true MPG era. I'm not the type who cares about charts and positions because I know how fraudulent numbers can be. She's on a mission to serve her fans and we're fed with visuals, bops, and BEAUTY. Not everyone can relate to that.

Best song on every Katy Perry album?
I feel like these songs strongly represent the album/era sonically and lyrically.

Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour
I need All The Love to have a tour video. It's the only way to go.
-
Katy Perry - '143'
Some of us need to be reminded that THE Teenage Dream album scored 52 in Metacritic. Whatever score she's getting from her albums after that is neither a drag nor a flex to actual fans. No actual fan cares about Metacritic scores.

Nelly Furtado's new album > Katy Perry's new album. Why?
Another pointless thread to solicit hatred against Katy...

Katy surpassed Gaga. Surprised?
Jobless behaviour to be creating pointless threads like this. Nothing in Joanne is memorable. Time passed and it decayed into nothingness. At least, 143 has time on her side. Give it a few years before comparing it to that garbage.

Katy Perry - "Lifetimes"
I wish this one had an extended version. The lyrics being simplistic and repetitive is the point, but it still lacks a little personality. If she could release a version with a second verse and more adlibs in the final chorus, it would be on par with the heavenly bop Walking On Air. It has so much potential to be excellent but right now, it's WoA's boring sister. Dua's Anything for Love has this same issue.

Katy Perry - "Lifetimes"
Not when Dark Horse (pop-urban/trap-perfect song of early 2010's) exists. Nonetheless, she's not Beyonce (or even Taylor). If she wanted to be at the forefront, she wouldn't have waited this long between album releases and recent "pop" songs wouldn't have been this sonically bland.

Katy Perry - "Lifetimes"
The way she delivers 'TIL THE END is sooo good. The best part of the snippet for me.

Katy Perry - "Lifetimes"
No one is forcing you to support Katy Perry in 2024. It's not like her recent singles are being auto-played to death, rupturing your eardrums, the way some of your faves' music are. Stop acting like you don't have a choice what to listen to or who to boycott. Call her out once and call it a day. Move on to your boring life, listening to your boring favorite artist.

Katy Perry - '143'
Every era, she had at least one questionable single choice, but it was never the lead material. Woman's World is not unlistenable but it's just not it... Next single, please!

Katy Perry - "Woman's World"
If Katy still cared about numbers, she would add 365 and WIM to an edition of 143 in the similar way Dua did with that Barbie song to Radical Optimism.

Katy Perry - '143'
I'm also concerned that WW is Track 1. NRO is an epic album opener to Smile.
-
Katy Perry - "Woman's World"
365, NRO, and HIH. She could serve pop excellence if she wanted to, but I sincerely believe she only released this song to generate buzz. It's not working the way they might have expected, so they should start rush-releasing the next single.

Katy Perry - "Woman's World"
This concept is great, but the execution is meh. If the song was longer, there could have been more room to tell, idk, a complete/solid story? She rarely fails in that department, so this is surprising for me.
-
Katy Perry - "Woman's World"
Top 10 or Bubbling, I'm streaming, so long as the music slaps. It's not like the Top 10 in Hot 100 are actual hits nowadays

Katy Perry
I'm not a very vocally active user, but I've only been following Katy threads. This is the second time a thread in anticipation of her music was closed. Is it really that serious?

Katy Perry - "Woman's World"
If her team is smart, she'll release an official version, a demo version, an AI version, an OKH-never-liking-any-version version. This will make more sense than the thousand versions of TTPD.

Everyone's announcing but her.
