And then to release this subpar ass 2019 track is a slap in the face. And Bardigang is already switching on the song because they see it's not doing well. If people could just keep it real from the jump instead of trying to live up their fave's asses for favor, maybe some of these artists would actually find the fire to step it up more. Nothing is gained from pretending to like a song until you see it's flopping. She's needs a real LEAD single. It needs to be solo and it needs to actually be worth the wait. I honestly don't think she wanted to release this because she's talked more favorably about the next single which she said has visuals and marketing already done. Atlantic probably pushed this, due to the features. Whoever is responsible, I hope they eat it. Yeah, I don't get why Cardi said EVERYONE she played this song for loved it and they wanted it to be a single. Cardi should have took it has a cue from God when the video couldn't get finished that she should NOT have released this song (I like the song but it's not serving "hey, let's use this to launch an album") Oh well, she lives and she learns, she needs to learn from these mistakes and make sure it doesn't happen ever again, I understand it happening during the IOP era but NOT now, everything is too high stakes and she is on another level, it makes no sense, the only good thing is that radio could carry this song until the video gets released.

IF the video gets released. We know another song is coming before the album. That better be THE ONE. But at this point, no telling when that'll be. There is no good reason for her not to be on an album promo tour at this point. I'm starting to wish for the ghostwriters. The album would have been finished by now if she had those.

His verse was literal hot ****, Cardi was probably too gagged at him agreeing to feature on her song at all to notice how lazy it was. And the fact that we know he did this verse some time last year. It's not even an old flop verse. It's fairly new. Cardi should've just included her second verse. Her and Durk meshed well. Kanye was not needed.

slw84 Posted July 5, 2022 Posted July 5, 2022 I just remembered there is a 2nd verse so is that what's going to be released with the video??? Also, I guess it's ok to have the video out right before her show. I would have waited until radio built up but I see the value in releasing it sooner.

slw84 Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 It's going to be interesting with her kicking off her tour this Fall but I'm here for it. Look at the turnout for her dress rehearsal. Hoping she does amazing at the festival this weekend. I think the momentum to build anticipation for the tour would be high. It makes sense that she'd release the album before the tour but then again we on CB time
Stepfon Posted July 6, 2022 Posted July 6, 2022 Hot Sh*t predicted to debut at #13 on the Hot 100, video coming and radio still rising, possible T10 down the road if everything works out. I think the goal here for the song is the long game if possible.
