people who release albums every year suffer from mediocrity. I could never see Beyoncé making mid art. 

She recorded B'Day in 2 weeks and that album is anything but mediocre. A year is plenty.

This. I was quite surprised to see this disparity since Renaissance is basically her quintessential album, but then again she's always been fond of ballads and midtempos.

 

It makes sense, POTS is her fav song off Renaissance after all.

its actually kinda brilliant because one is a proclamation of "BEYONCÉ" the commercialized celebrity, and the other is a deep dive of "BEYINCÉ"; the connections to her mother and her family and the version we don't see. its like she has grown as an artist in just those 10 years that a self-titled album is now a deeply personal meditation on life and not just the use of her name as a powerful brand. we are seeing her priorites change in real time. it's what she talked about in the REN movie about how her family is now more important than her career. and then when you realize the misspelling was because of systematic racism she is literally reclaiming the spelling of her name. 

 

the only issue is they are both pronounced the same way, which makes it difficult to talk about audibly.

Bodyguard is growing much faster than the other tracks, looks like TikTok is picking it up.  It currently has 4.1k videos where as II MOST WANTED has 2.3k (these are on the official audios by the way)
