Long post incoming…

Beyonce is a phenomenon. I’m in my 30’s and she’s the one, singular artist that can instantly transport me to my childhood and specific memories from that time; I vividly remember the summer The Writings On The Wall came out and being on our annual family vacation where my older female cousins were playing that album non stop. I can remember when No No No pt 2 came out and those same cousins played it over and over on our grandmas front stoop steps from a recorded tape that they waited for the radio to play that song. Beyonce is a part of so much of my growth as an adult. Her work ethic being a motivator to get me through college, it feels so silly to a

attribute that to an entertainer, but it’s true. This film felt like a culmination of so much, especially for long time fans like myself.

Maybe she was planning to release the visuals around this time of the year but got the possibility to do Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé on theatres and that overtook them. :michael:

She clearly doesn’t hate them if she tried to sell them twice.

she clearly doesn’t love them enough to put her money hungry ambitions aside and release a damn music video like any normal artist

Beyoncé wouldn’t try to sell anything she doesn’t believe in.

hmm the numerous low quality cash grabs, perfumes and 500$ necklaces this era tell a different story :rip:

But none of that is related to her solo discography. When it comes to something that would entirely put in question her ‘artistry’ because it only has her name attached to it she always gives her best.

I'm hoping to catch the film tonight but I haven't booked yet because I'm not sure which cinema to go to.

Clips have appeared on my Tik Tok and it's intriguing to see the mixing dates / outfits approach to the film. It definitely makes sense since she gave us so many great looks and they deserve to be in the film as well as there being such a community surrounding the tour with each date being equally special. On the other hand I also love the consistency of an artist filming one night of the show only, it gives more of a live show feel to me.

why isn’t she giving her best by releasing these visuals then ?

This moment looks and sounds so planned/rehearsed for the film, NGL. They throw in these nuggets for the audience because if it's a matter-of-fact documentary with no "drama," it would have been boring.

Now that you mention that I also think the alien superstar sound issue was planned just for the film. It just appeared too smooth and she didn’t seem upset at all. And the way the song went out on the dj booth is fixing the entire system part.

Can’t wait for that fanbase making a thread about MY HOUSE getting less than 1 million streams and taking that as a victory as if anyone cared about that. :bibliahh:

When I saw the sticky note, I immediately thought the visuals didn’t turn out the way she envisioned and she scrapped.

or she could be referring to the tour interludes. “Stepping into mothers mind”

That sticky note came and went so fast, but I read that as this documentary/film is NOT the visuals. Or am I slightly delulu?

Yeah it's so bizarre to me as well that she would be so unhappy with it to scrap the entire thing because the booklet (which we know is from the movie) is by far the best visual representation she's ever done for an album. The fashions, the looks, the sets, the lightning are all stunning and create a marvelous ambiance for the music that's on the record.

Call me delusional, but I still hope that the visuals combine Acts I and II, and will become the album release day promotion to push streams of the second album while stabilizing Act I on the charts.

One of those recent articles said B made "several films" during her hiatus/Covid-19.

- Renaissance Tour BTS

- The actual BTS of the songs/studio (That The-Dream, Leven Kali & Co., and Syd all alluded to footage existing)

- Long-form 1&2 Visual directed by Nadia Lee Cohen?

- Something different for 3?

Concerning was the bit in her narration about how "after this tour" she wants stability or serenity or whatever. Acts II and III scuttled, see y'all in 2031 for the Betty Black Farewell Tour.

I caught that too. I don't think she's going anywhere else for awhile.

Also I'm not gonna lie I accidentally got a little lit up on those speciality drinks last night. :deadbanana4: Never been drunk at a movie theater before so that's a first
