She didn't even do this for the video of her lead single. It feels useless considering that the song probably won't even return to the Hot 100 based on video streams alone without any airplay and with the chart full of Taylor's album tracks

I mean all the plans they had for the era went down the toilet right when the vegas controversy happened. So I think at this point it’s just something for the fans more so than something to resuscitate the era. 
Also it makes sense to release it around this time since she hinted about people wanting to dress up as her for Halloween in the nikkietutorials video and vegas being right around the corner. 

But everything right now is still very hush hush. I get AA has sent out invites but that doesn’t explain A’s silence and the fact Columbia has invited press.

I presumed she was doing this now to push her Grammy chances… Some promo to remind those doing the nominations and voting of her album.

I hope she does have something else wrapped for us. We waited six years for an album she abandoned after the first week thanks to a controversy she and her team themselves ignited. I truly hope it is something else or at least she announces something soon. I know I will still be disappointed since we are only getting the video.

I just don’t get the silence? Like she was promoting ohmyflop days before it dropped and even tweeting about it. But this mv it’s crickets from her? Just some invites from AA through DM’s and email…
