I largely disagree with you. OMG and CIGI are obviously the most "pop" yes, but you're hyperfocusing on the production of those songs rather than the lyrics which from a narrative perspective that the album is telling 100% deserve their place on the album, the lyrics definitely do come from a personal place. I suppose they are the most "generic" sound wise (not ANP though that's a gem, nothing jazz is "generic" imo). SML is trash and the definition of shallow and basic, WUTB is a Kelly Clarkson reject, and while I love River Lea, there's something missing about it. The tracklisting of 30 is perfect too. I agree that 60s motown is a good stylistic choice but a whole album like that could've potentially been a bore ala whatever cosplay Bruno Mars is doing these days (and I find it interesting that you think LIAG sound is risky when ATRLers criticize her for that particular kind of sound for being "safe" but I'm on your side on this one).

Off topic: but I'm tired of people calling 30 a safe album or pretending that it sounds the same as her other albums when she's doing this in this album no pop girl right now would dare to do. Strangers By Nature is straight up crazy when you take a look at the chord progression and melody: Adele is literally doing jazz and defying current pop conventions, but ATRL would rather listen to a basic 4 chord pop song with a 80s drum beat pulled from Garage Band and call it "experimental," and I say this as someone who love basic pop songs.

25 is a label's album, that's why she isnt as proud of it as she is proud of 30

the problem is she's too preoccupied with her lovelife now, just wish she didnt got that over her album, which isnt a surpise as she has been like that even before.

  • Oh, I remember when they did a Mariah special back in 2008 and she appeared on the show as a mentor.   Maybe Adele will be there too.

  • Saw Adele last night, it was f**king magical, she sounded amazing. best concert of my life 🥹🥹

  • Skyfall is up to #56 on the Global Shazam chart, #163 in the US, so there's a plenty of people just now discovering the song.   Set Fire to the Rain seems to be stuck at 1.4M daily streams o

One of her interviews in a publication

There is no interview saying that. Adele has said nothing about the new Vegas schedule. And you can see people a bit upset, still asking for Vegas dates in her last IG post comments.

I’m so pissed that I spent 30 minutes highlighting what I like and don’t like about 30 in detail and what I wanted in the future, alternative rock Adele, and I got the 503 error code and it all went away when I hit refresh. I’m over it.

atrlers still pretending all of Adele's albums sound the same.

Especially those that stan that alternative artist that failed during her debut on Saturday Night Live.

50K people attended Elton John's Hyde Park concert.

Wonder whether Adele can break the attendance record. :alexz2:

Stranger by Nature doesn't sound anything she's ever released.

Imagine thinking Someone Like You sounds anything like 19 or Million Years Ago sounds anything like 21 :deadbanana4:

The fact GP will never know the existence of her best song because it's on bonus edition and will never be on spotify :toofunny3:

I love this track, the fact that her bonus tracks are brilliant fascinates me.

Someone needs to open a thread on Adele's performance at Hyde Park this weekend :duca:

Can't believe I will get Adele's new performance and Stranger Things new episodes in 2 days :jonny5:

I just notice that her shows are the only ones sold out for BST. The RS still have unsold tickets. Legendaric Behavior :clap3:

Adele has a lot of classics people do love her despite what's being said on Stan twitter / here the problem is she did not care about promoting the album enough, which is sad because it's one of her best projects ever.

30 has such a winter feeling to it

Listening to My Little Love and it doesn't hit me as hard as that extremely cold day in Scotland back in Nov

It's an album to listen by the fireplace with a cup of tea and thinking back about your ex / marriage :weeps:

Maybe they can restart era around September / October just in time for Christmas shopping season :clap3:

Apparently not, the other BST artists were not televised either. :chick3:
