It seems the whole industry and all music publications consider it country, except for BB, they shut every version of OTR out of the Country charts. However, country radio played it enough so it could chart on the Country Airplay Charts. BB made a big fool of themselves for that.

idk Meant to Be sounds country... whereas OTR is like the Middle, uses a country singer but the song itself is not country.
