Quote

Taylor Swift's Biggest Billboard Hits chart is based on actual performance on the weekly Billboard Hot 100, through the Dec. 14, 2019, ranking. Songs are ranked based on an inverse point system, with weeks at No. 1 earning the greatest value and weeks at No. 100 earning the least. Due to changes in chart methodology over the years, certain eras are weighted to account for different chart turnover rates over various periods.

how is style bigger than LWYMMD :rip:

To be fair, they're both at 4x Platinum eligible. One was a lead pre-album, and one was a 3rd single released while the parent album was selling tons (+ the song wasn't even on audio streaming during its run).

I'm shocked that despite being Top 40 Greatest of All Time Hot 100 Artists, only her Top 8 are strong. Like, songs such as Mine and ME! are in her Top 20.

So many hits, smashes and classics :clap3:

How is ME! higher than Delicate? :deadbanana2: Oh wow!

I think Billboard gives something like 2.5x more points for a week at #10 than for a week at #11 so that's why. Even though that doesn't make much sense since there's hardly ever more than a 10% difference in how much the #10 and #11 songs are consumed.

Why the hell Begin again that low. Its a classic

I think Begin Again is an amazing song but it didn't do much after the strong first week of iTunes sales. The highest it charted after it's #7 debut was #52 on the second week, and then #63 during it's country radio peak. I'm kind of surprised Fearless is ahead of End Game, Safe & Sound and Both of Us since it struggled even more than Begin Again after its iTunes fueled first week.

Around 3 times more radio audience and I think also around 3 times more track sales.

how is "22" below lover, back to december and two is better than one?? 3x platinum, 500M views it really only had a bad peak :jonny2:

I mean, most of 22 views could come from outside the USA as it's one of her biggest hits outside of it.

really? i always thought 22 was pretty local considering it sold over 2.3M in the US and it's global total is around 3.6M or something.

I mean at the time it did nothing but retrospective streams have been really kind to it (reigns true in USA as well I guess, but those don't count for this chart).

Boys Like Girls were basically a fad, but that does mean there was still a quick moment when their songs were pretty big.

Back To December was a pretty big hit in the US and here in Canada too, so that doesn't surprise me. It did similar to 22 on Pop/HAC/AC radio, maybe even a bit better, but it also did much better on country radio. It was seen as showing a more mature side of Taylor that we didn't see before, so it got a lot of acclaim

On the other hand I feel like people didn't really acknowledge how much of a bop 22 was at first because they were getting burned out on the Taylor Swift x Max Martin sound due to the overplay of WANEGBT and IKYWT and 22 was arguably not as good or unique as either of those. When IKYWT radio callouts came out, people were really here for it, it had some of the best callouts of all time. 22's callouts were ok, but not amazing.

IKYWT callout peaks

Pos: 78.3

Net Pos: 62.5

Fav: 43.0

22 callout peaks

Pos: 58.8

Net Pos: 29.0

Fav: 23.8

True + the "Red" era's highest highs had basically finished by the time 22's release came around. I do wish 22 was acknowledged because it had the potential to be one of her biggest hits due to it's timeless theme and effortless pop sound which is the reason it does get quite a few recurring streams. I always enjoyed it more than WANEGBT and slightly more than IYKWT tbh as well.
