"Nightmare" manages a more agressive sound, completely different from "Without Me" and "Eastside". She's definetely a radio darling, but the song is not a safe pop song, and radio doesn't forgive when it comes to "different sounding" tracks.

"Without Me" is one of the greatest songs this decade, I'm really hoping Halsey continues working with Louis Bell, he truly has a great mind producing songs.

Me too, there's a huge demand around it, but callouts are neither exceptional (there's a significant negative reaction by Pop listeners) nor bad (not even close). And it's not a typical pop radio hit type of song, but see Old Town Road getting to the Top 3 on Pop radio.

were royals' callouts great? since people like comparing them with the breakthrough pop smashiness for an alt-ish teen

^^Royals had great callouts.

Well, Katy and Taylor have since buried the proverbial hatchet.  I think Katy's song is on Taylor's play list, and that Taylor's song is on Katy's playlist.
