I'm very pleasantly surprised that Imagine Dragons still has such a prominent fanbase considering they haven't had a big hit since Demons

What?

It's not even top 10 despite sales being dead.

Well extremely close to Top 10 is still pretty good when the band effectively disappeared after 2013 :rip: (With the exception of Sucker For Pain, but I don't really count that since I doubt too many people paid attention to who sang the chorus on that song)

Not saying the fanbase is massive, just bigger than I expected. I haven't seen a single article or social media post about the song, so I would have figured it wouldn't even get into the Top 20 :michael:

Actually Imagine Dragons aren't even under Hot Songs, so yeah #11 is very good imo

Okay. Here's an update on the sales for Can't Stop This Feeling vs. Closer.

At the end of 2016, CSTF had 2.495 M, while Closer had 2.268 M, giving a difference of 227k.

Closer has narrowed the gap, but CSTF is still in the lead. Now CSTF is 2.596 M, while Closer is 2.457 M. Now the difference between the songs is 139k.

At this rate, Closer should pull ahead by the end of March (end of BBMA tracking period), which is needed to win HDS SOTY at the BBMAs. However, with Closer slowing down (and in need of a Grammy boost), it may take a little longer. Feeling could get a Grammy boost too, but I think Closer gets the bigger one. I think the same is true for the IHeart Radio Awards and the BBMAs. Closer will get a 2017 YE boost too, and CSTF will only get a small one, if at all.

Closer will do better at IHeart, but the race for BBMA H 100 SOTY could be tight, as Feeling has a 12 week head start over Closer, and CSTF looks like it could stay on the Hot 100 through the end of March. CSTF also spent almost all, if not all, of those first 12 weeks in the T 5.

you're forgetting the fact that Justin will perform Can't Stop the Feeling! at the Oscars on February 26th :gaycat5:

according to HDD, he will likely perform at the Grammys as well (which makes sense since he's the frontrunner for Best Song Written for Visual Media + Grammys air the night before the voting for Oscars begins)

I didn't know about the Oscars, but Closer will still likely pull ahead in sales before 2017 ends.

Why didn't Sam release on a Friday? He could have probably gotten a top 30 debut.

What is Capitol doing? They could have released that on Friday and got a full week. :rip:

In b4 the KP4 lead comes on a Wednesday too. :eli:

Imagine Dragons hasn't released a good single since Demons tbh. Unless you count Sucker for Pain.

Yeah. I'm wondering why he released his song on Wednesday as well. Friday for a comeback hit from a major artist makes much more sense. No Country artist bigger than him was going to come out with a new song this week. Hunt would've blown any other stars' releases away.

Perhaps, someone big is coming back on Friday?

There's a thread here!

I really do think something's coming out tomorrow or next week

Hmm well it makes sense that Sam's single would be released on a Wednesday then. He and Katy are signed to the same label, so maybe they didn't want either to outshine the other :eli:

"Believer" #8 on iTunes (actually #7) with dark green and pretty solid lead from "I Feel It Coming". No red or even white update since the release.
