Zinadelphia is a vocalist and guitarist based in Philadelphia. She's influened heavily by Neo-Soul, Jazz, Funk, and Folk music. She's currently on tour opening for Tori Kelly and previously opened for Teddy Swims. She's just getting her start in the industry.

It's still stuck in mine, especially after seeing/hearing her perform it live on tour!

Aside from the tracks from the EP/Part 1 last year, thing u do, oceans, and shine on are my faves as well! shine on is an absolute VIBE.

I'm not sure about that. He posted something when she was in the hospital last year, but she hasn't said anything about him this year. She's not with Capitol Records anymore, though. For real! I wish people would just say they're not personally vibing with something and/or don't get it vs trying to talk it down. TORI. is absolutely worth a listen and I hope to see more people give the album a chance. Tori had so much fun and she's about to do a bunch of tour dates, so she's booked and busy.

Yeah. I'm not sure what the strategy for promo on "cut" was. Seems like it was dropped and just left there… The MV came out and that was that. Perhaps she wasn't deemed healthy enough to do much promo around its release, but she went on a small tour afterward so… 🤔

Have you heard/liked anything else from the album?

The vast majority of the content on this album was written and produced before being shopped to labels and her signing her deal with Epic. She was prepared to do it independently if she had to. She shared that live on Twitch the other night. Out of curiosity, what would you consider the least B-list track on the album?

Sorry you feel it's bland, but I'm ok with the "dated" assessment considering her direct inspiration for the song (and album) is late 90s/early 2000s. She definitely slayed the vocals and it's a huge deal to see her doing choreography.

Kenedi has a tendency to oversing in some of her posts, but I imagine that's because she has a lot of energy. She has tons of personality, this song is catchy, and I hope it's the start of a steady stream of releases. Her Idol audition was incredible and I've had my eye on her ever since.

I'm sorry that's what you pictured when listening to an uplifting song partially inspired by her health scare last year. If you "want better for her," I'm getting the sense you haven't checked out the album?

To be fair, this was filmed 3 weeks ago and was just before she had her blood clot emergency. The concept may have been rushed. I wish there was choreo like she did at her 30th birthday party for No Scrubs.

It hasn't premiered on YouTube just yet, but it will be live in 6 minutes.

She did a Twitch stream today and she's in good health! There are still tests being done to make sure she's good long-term, but she was playing Mario Kart and Animal Crossing for two hours. She also sang a bit toward the end of the stream while playing more Mario Kart. This EP is just a teaser of what’s to come. Tori described it as somewhat of a “part 1” in her Instagram Live on July 22 and an album is already confirmed to be on the way. Jon Bellion produced all the songs for this and the upcoming album. Tori also previously teased a track with a Spice Girls sample that isn’t on this EP. If the EP is anything to go by, we’re in for a great era.

They're attributed to a wide variety of causes. Long periods of immobility, birth control, certain medications, surgery, etc. COVID-19 has also been found to increase risk of forming blood clots. It's very hard to pin down an exact cause, and you can have blood clots for several days (or even weeks) without knowing or experiencing any side effects.

It's been a mixed bag for me. My favorite opening acts were artists I was already familiar with. My least favorite was DJ Khaled opening for when I attended the Formation World Tour. He wasn't performing, just doing a DJ set. Any time the crowd got really into a track and started singing or rapping along, he would cut the music and yell "Wait wait wait, hold up hold up hold up," before asking if we were hyped for Bey. It went on way too long and a ton of people around me were just as over it as I was.

This is terrible, but I'm very hopeful and positive Tori will persevere. Hoping for some positive news sometime tomorrow. 🙏🏼 This is the worst timing with her new EP set to drop Friday (and a show also scheduled for that date in LA). I'm fairly certain the show will be canceled or delayed. Not sure about the EP, but her health and well-being are paramount. It does seem sudden, considering she was voice-chatting with fans in her Discord before going out to dinner Sunday night. She also went live on Instagram a few days ago and seemed happy, healthy, and energized.

Some artists have them. Others don't. Sometimes you can tell an opener was assigned by the label with little respect for the cohesiveness of the tour, other times it's obvious they were hand-picked/requested by the headlining artist. Do you prefer opening acts or not? When there is one, what makes an opening act worthwhile vs a waste of time?
