I'm not a Little Monster, but I enjoy Gaga's music ever since her debut. I admit her fanbase makes it insufferable to enjoy her, but ATRL's cruel commentary about Lady Gaga's family and about surrogacy is disgusting, and shaming any woman for how she becomes a mother is deeply anti-feminist and problematic. Being a fan or disliking her has absolutely nothing to do with her right to privacy, dignity, and reproductive autonomy. Nobody owes their medical history or an explanation of their family decisions, and children should never be targets of ridicule. The way Britney was jeopardized in late 2000s and commented about her motherhood daily was enough and the public still owes her a big ******* public apology. The way TMZ recently made her (Gaga's) surrogacy a whole article is also disgusting. Thoughtful discussion about surrogacy and the rights of everyone involved should be fine, but personal attacks and policing women's bodies are not thoughtful AT ALL especially when you're a baguette and spend 40 hours a week on a forum. I'm really struggling here comprehending all the disgusting comments I've read in other threads whether it is by Gaga fans or not. You judge a woman and turn her family into a punching bag.
