Ignorance of diversity of views within your own community is part of why liberals will continue to lose elections. I am a successful gay man who lives in NYC and almost my entire gay circle is conservative - everyone in my house on FIP this summer is even aligned politically. Y'all have to expand your horizons a bit and not view political views as so binary (x + y = racist, etc.). Politics is very nuanced and we all have different concerns and arrange those concerns in diverse hierarchies - what ranks as #1 to you might rank as #7 to me. We don't necessarily think Republicans and Trump are perfect, but we care about safety, American identity/excellence, technological innovation/investments, etc.

You'd think conservatives would be fighting to welcome them into the country but the democrats would welcome them with open arms if solely up to them.

Surely he is better than the current mayor but I'm curious as to what the liberal take on his candidacy is, aside from simply calling out that he has no experience. His ads have been very powerful I must say.
