these feel like the kind of songs she wants to make right now, and i love that for her. it's a chill, classy album -- curious to see what highlights emerge for me on future listens. caution was a really cool, exciting project, but i had a feeling from her post-release comments on it, that we wouldn't be getting more of that vibe. this far into her career, i appreciate whatever she's giving tbh -- she's given us a lot!

i'm feeling the album! a bit 'pleasant'/bonk on the head chic, but i'm not mad about it. she sounds great, and i'm always grateful for some richard x production. lovely late summer release. 💆‍♀️

Do It Again (True Electric) is an absolute tear

feeling nostalgic for kylie and bridges... need them to reunite fr this album has some cute moments! but the padam-chasing makes it feel a touch too calculated and less genuine than the usual KM fare... she's above some of these songs. i'm sure i'll listen to T2 plenty and have it grow on me... but i'm looking forward to the new direction she's hinted at for the next album.

remixes are devouring confidence man's is giving perfect (exceeder) and zach witness'… is a bear circuit party soundtrack (& i mean that as a high compliment) 🫦🫦

a bop! i've enjoyed all three singles -- but training season and illusion could both stand to have the volume turned up/more intensity in the production and vocals. dua gets a lil growly/rock n' roll in her live performances, and i'd love to see some more of that in the studio takes.

This release is a huge disappointment -- shocking how amateurish and cobbled together it feels. The Tension tracks were built to be short and sweet TikTok-era pop songs, so you can't just tease out the instrumental bits like with Disco - Extended Mixes (which were, for the most part, done more thoughtfully and in a genre that lends itself to vibe-y instrumental breaks). If these new songs are to be longer, many need an extra verse, or heaven forbid, a bridge. This is another unfortunate blow to an era that started really strong. Sigh!!

Obsessed with Heavenly Body the bassline reminds me of Britney's 'And Then We Kiss' Junkie XL Remix in the best way. I'd love to see her veer away from efficient 3-minute songs and go deeper and trancier for KM17...
