Katy Perry - "Watch It Burn"
I feel like this is a huge step in the right direction. Imo her voice fits this genre so much better than dance music / EDM. I'd love to see her explore something completely organic and or minimalistic. I think it would do wonders for her, regardless of commercial success.

Kesha - 'Animal + Cannibal (15 Year Anniversary)'
I mean, wouldn't it make more sense if the release were closer to the album's actual anniversary? For now, though, it's a cute teasing strategy

ROSALÍA - 'LUX'
I'm loving this project so much! With every listen I appreciate it even more. I'm so excited for the tour, I keep wondering what it's going to be like. I saw a reddit insider say that ticket sales will start very soon and now I'm anxious.

Kesha abruptly ends livestream after Katy Perry jumpscare
omg, i'm so tired of the constant back-and forth from a certain fanbase in this thread. it's really not that serious. let me put myself in their shoes: kesha (who i hate because when my fave released a painfully bad "female empowerment" song produced by her abuser, she replied "lol") was doing a livestream in front of a banner for her own sold-out msg show, just being happy, interacting with fans. then a banner promoting my fave's future show at the same venue appears, so kesha moves the camera and ends the live. clearly, she must be secretly plotting against my poor, innocent victim idol. what exactly did you expect her to do??? be serious for once.

Is Charli XCX Kesha's daughter?
Also, in 2023, while working on Brat, Charli mentioned Kesha as one of the key inspirations for her new music in an interview with SMH: "Right now she's in a "reclusive phase", says Aitchison, ensconced in her own little bubble of creation, delving back into teen faves - "French electro stuff, 2007-2009 early Kesha" - for inspiration." I love them both sm.

Source: Kesha believes Katy deserves "any shade she can get", hopes she is "upset"
I've been reading these pages and I'm surprised by how people choose to ignore what some users have been pointing out over and over and over again, just to say the vilest things. So I'll summarize: - Paris Hilton. Her collaboration with Dr. Luke could've been circumstantial, she recorded a verse for a song that was already produced by him and other two guys, which doesn't even mean she was in the same studio with him. As for the follow on IG, she's probably not even aware of it considering she follows over 7,000 people. Come on, Katy Perry doesn't follow him and seems to be extra close to him. The fact that she has a friendship with Kesha suggests there may have been a conversation between them. Anyways, she's an irreverent musical figure, let's not overthink it. - I think Kesha is completely within her right to go after Katy. Out of all the recent collaborators of Luke, she and her team are the only ones who made public statements proudly naming him as a collaborator, and then, when things blew up, her A&R did damage control saying Dr. Luke is completely innocent, implying that Kesha lied ABOUT EVERYTHING (Let's not play dumb, he didn't do the interview on his own) I'm sure Katy feels the same way, especially considering all this "feminine divine" aesthetic she's been pushing with no shame and the way she said 143 wouldn't be possible without him. Out of all Luke's recent collaborators, no one has been more involved and aware of the lawsuit than Katy, she was also a close friend to Kesha before fame. About the text messages — we wouldn't have even known about them if Dr. Luke hadn't made them public (which Katy objected to). Also, when the legal war started, Katy gave advice to Luke and never even reached out to Kesha. - Kesha can sing all her songs, whether they were produced by him or not. No one has the right to judge how she should feel about her own art. Let's remember there are songs with which she clearly has a complicated relationship ("Die Young") and still chooses to perform them as fan service. And if Kesha is doing this for "attention", good for you, Kesha. She's doing it at the cost of a multimillion-dollar project that aimed to launch her abuser into stardom once again, using a feminist message to cover up and dismantle the years of s*xual, physical, and psychological abuse that Kesha (and other(s)) endured by his side. This way, labels and artists will think twice before working with him.

Kesha is waiting for you…
Apparently Kesha made the “freedom” song with psychedelic rock/folk musician Jonathan Wilson. Thrilled for this.
