Thoughts on "B*tch I'm Madonna"?
The song is fine/okay, I still wish that it had been a full Sophie production without Diplo as Diplo mimicking Sophie's drops in the chorus is quite grating and dated.

Taylor Swift
Not to clown too much but has Taylor noted what is the Chorus in her vinyl lyrics before? Also if you look closely then some song lyrics has CHORUS in it multiple times in all caps and some have none which seems like a weird decision. Could it be an initial mockup for the actual

Lorde - "What Was That"
This copy and paste from popjustice... Maybe you should be the one going to the beach.

2024 US Election Megathread 🇺🇸🏛️
When will the remaining senate races will be called? It seems Dems will carry Wisconsin and Michigan by a hair. Is Pennsylvania a lost cause and is there a possibility of Nevada and Arizona somehow coming home to dems.

2024 US Election Megathread 🇺🇸🏛️
Yeah, this result for me is not really a shock as after 2016 I knew anything was possible. Still it feels like the national environment was just unfavourable for dems, coupled with Biden shitting the bed, not making an open primary possible and the voters feeling like they are worse off. Maybe Kamala could have won with more populist, left-wing policies but my gut feeling is that the sentiment is just so anti-democrats that nothing would have saved them. However hopefully this means that we will be free of Trump in 2028 and currently trumpism without trump on the ballot has not been a winning electoral strategy.

2024 US Election Megathread 🇺🇸🏛️
This would align with the Selzer poll which showed that Kamala is ahead in Iowa due to women. If Women are more enthuasistic and vote more then Potusmala is a reality.

2024 US Election Megathread 🇺🇸🏛️
Yeah, she wins with NV, WI, NC and GA.

Addison Rae - "Diet Pepsi"
The vinyl sales count when they are actually shipped. So they can still use these sales to time the highest peak.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour | We Had the Time of Our Lives (Closing Night)
Tbh the problem with that is that in Sweden you cannot bring any bag inside the venue and I have no place to store it as I am arriving in Sweden tomorrow and will go to the concert area for when the concert starts. I'll just see how it is with sizes, if they are out then I can try to buy some merch during the Amsterdam dates as I am visiting my friend at the time and will be a longer time in the area so I can go buy it beforehand.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour | We Had the Time of Our Lives (Closing Night)
Hey! Sorry for being uninformed but when is considered the best time to buy merch? I am going to the Stockholm concert on Friday and I am wondering if the merch stands are open after the concert or should I buy them before the concert starts? I do not want to miss Paramore so I am wondering when is the best time to arrive for merch. I have tickets in the seating area so I do not have to worry about the times for that.

It just hit me I am seeing the show on Friday. I haven't even gotten really time to prep for the show as I've been finishing my masters thesis.

Best first two albums: Lorde vs Billie Eilish vs Olivia Rodrigo
All albums here range from good to amazing, but Lorde ekes out the win purely due to the pillar of pop music that Melodrama is.

Taylor Swift - 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT'
Do you mean Este? The whole story in the song is fictional, however the name inspiration came from Este Haim who is part of the band HAIM.

Beyoncé - 'COWBOY CARTER'
Can anybody help me as Spotify still does not have credits. Is Stevie Knicks credited on II MOST WANTED as the beginning sounds extremely similar to Landslide.

Taylor Swift
Late response, but Midnights also has You're On Your Own, Kid - 546M Midnight Rain 622

Taylor Swift - 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT'
To be honest, the imagery that we have seen so far is very leaning this modern alternative, maybe soft-rock or even RnB sphere, but after the Midnights photoshoot red herring I really do not trust Taylor's style sense enough to just make genre predictions on the few photos we have. I assume that it will be similar to Red, Folklore, Evermore that it will house songs from different genres and the average track length is about 4 minutes, but definite genre predictions for songs seems kinda hard. The only two predictions I'm willing to make is "But Daddy I Love Him" is a tongue in cheek country song, something akin to "I Bet You Think About Me" and that "So Long, London" is a sad goodbye, something akin to "Sad Beautiful Tragic" or "Tolerate It".

Taylor Swift - 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT'
The album being a double LP just tells us that the album is longer than 44 minutes and shorter than 1h28 minutes as a singular side can hold about 22 minutes. I assume the album is about an hour+, something similar to Lover, Folklore, Evermore. I assume Midnights standard was whittled down to 13 tracks as that barely fit onto a 1LP, making production costs lower and making vinyl production cheaper and the extra tracks were released as the 3AM edition. As this wasn't done for this album, I assume that even when whittling it down to 13 tracks, it did not fit into the 44 minute time window. Folklore was also 2LP and I think that during release Taylor mentioned that "the 1" and "hoax" were written very last minute, so called prologue and epilogue and "the lakes" was always a deluxe track. Without them Folklore would have been about 56-57 minutes long and removing an additional track to get it to 13 would still have made the album too long for a singular LP so it was easy to add them as the cost was gonna still be for a 2LP. I would not be surprised if Taylor's though process was similar for this album so we are probably not gonna get too many short tracks. Now watch this analysis be wrong as Taylor posts the tiktokified, 2:30 track lengths.

Taylor Swift - 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT'
Honestly I think trying to extrapolate the songs quality or soundscape from the titles with Taylor is foolish as there have been multiple times where track titles have been "red herrings". Illicit Affairs, The Last Great American Dynasty, Hoax all had me side-eyeing in fear of Taylor trying to make songs about macro-level problems or being Wattpad-esque whilst actually being good to great. Or Sl!T being a soft ballad, so I would not try to guess the quality or sound of the songs just from the titles. The only guess I would try to make is that maybe But Daddy I Can Fix Him is something like I Bet You Think About Me, a tongue in cheek country song.

Why did the GRAMMYs ignore the best album of 2023?
Probably because Hozier is irish. The Grammys are extremely US-based, majority of the voters are US citizens and this makes it harder for any non-american artist to score nominations.

Taylor Swift - '1989 (Taylor's Version)'
I truly hope that in tomorrow's update Is It Diamond Certified Already? is the #1 song and it gets the focused push to radio on Monday and given a video.
