They operate more like a tech company, buying out sub labels and giving them some form of autonomy, whereas the other companies have more focus / control of their groups. Hybe is also more aggressive in expanding their reach worldwide by buying out a few US management companies + they own Weverse. All companies engage in market manipulation + corruption within the company to some degree but Hybe is probably most famous for it.

Yep, I think this is true, from JYP's perspective at least, but I also feel like Kickflip is inspired by SKZ, Got7, even Xdinary Heroes and Day6, but there's no reason for them to be locked into a pop-rock sound, especially if it's not really giving them hits. Same with Nexz; both of these groups are too fresh to stay in a particular lane without achieving success in it. That said, the music is GOOD, and they're both talented, so perhaps JYP is expecting an Nmixx type scenario with them eventually. I feel like JYP has essentially given up on marketing their new groups. Like they have Niziu, Girlset, and that new Birthday group or whatever, and NOTHING, no noise whatsoever, just came and went. Same is true for their bgs, despite Kickflip releasing one of the best bg songs of the year with Eye-Poppin. My thought process is that they're cannibalising marketing for one another OR JYP need to put more of the Twice / SKZ money towards their newer groups before Hybe outpayolas them entirely.
