tbf she really hates talking about other works in a promo tour, but this did feel oddly more dismissive than usual. i'm more surprised they didn't give her a track on the soundtrack... seems like a no brainer to me. anyways on twitter MrSLeakT seems pretty sure a new lead track and an album is coming this year. who knows, i know by now not to expect anything.

I actually like Back To You but Let Me Go is a superior song. Have both on my playlist.

She's right but this is something you say after the show is done and over with. I mean I enjoyed it for what it is but it was just elevated Riverdale/Sabrina done right. Jenna was clearly the best thing about the show.

My theory is that a bunch of the songs on the album were about Niall like "Used to This." They broke up and she threw herself into acting (Bumblebee promo, also she randomly took up Dickinson on Apple TV+) and refused to released the album. Her friendship with Julia Michaels soured around this time (idk if this was Niall related or not or just a result in scrapping her album she had helped write). Her label doesn't need to spend a dime on Hailee, they basically have her acting side of her career carry her music at this point. She deserves better cause she's great.
