Taylor Swift - “I Knew It, I Knew You”
With all this promo for a damn soundtrack I expect the entire Debut Vault collection to be in this movie. Dark Blue Tennessee coming!

Taylor Swift - “I Knew It, I Knew You”
I'm scared when has her marketing team done this much for a soundtrack song?

Why is Olivia's recent music more mature than Taylor's?
Calling the 2 showgirl singles kids-boppy makes no sense. They are pure pop songs. Olivia is really talented and much better vocally and at style, but I wouldn't say she's better at composition than Taylor. IMO Olivia has decent melodies and great lyrics, but I feel they often lack synergy needed when she tries to build to some type of emotional catharsis. Drop Dead is a lot of scene-building without actually saying anything. On the other hand, Taylor's talent for using song structure to nail down an emotional state or tell a story is my favourite part of her music.

Maybe a TN staffer accidentally stole assets from Disney and they had to abort before they got sued

Taylor Swift - 'The Life of a Showgirl'
TSOU has one of her greatest music videos ever, despite the low budget. It matches the song so perfectly.

Taylor Swift - 'The Life of a Showgirl'
You do not choose Opalite. Opalite chooses you.

Taylor Swift - 'The Life of a Showgirl'
While this is probably my 2nd least favourite album from her after debut, I gotta say that following up loml and The Prophecy with Elizabeth Taylor and Wood is HILARIOUS. This is what will make her legacy, and a legend to future music historians. No current artist has a discography like hers!

Taylor Swift - 'The Life of a Showgirl'
After the initial gag reflex at the Uptown Girl melody, Opalite has grown on me insanely. Should've been the lead!

Taylor Swift - 'The Life of a Showgirl'
This still kills me to this day, like why did she do this
-
Taylor Swift - 'The Life of a Showgirl'
I hope the album is more pop sounding in the lane of Hits Different/Vigilante **** rather than 1989/rep tbh.

Taylor Swift - 'The Life of a Showgirl'
Now I'm convinced Father Figure isn't about anyone. Inspired by some IRL emotions, but mostly a fictional story ala Vigilante ****

Taylor Swift - 'The Life of a Showgirl'
Actually Romantic is def Charli but I don't buy Father Figure is about Olivia. Taylor was never a father figure, hardly a mentor to her, they were friends for maybe like a month during the Fearless TV era and that was it. On the other hand, attacking Scott's manhood saying her dick is bigger than his is something she 100% would do.

Taylor Swift - 'The Life of a Showgirl'
As someone who unironically believes "Karma is a cat purring in my lap" is one of her most evocative and fun lines, Father Figure has me so ******* excited. The other tracks can be flops for all I care.

Taylor Swift - 'The Life of a Showgirl'
Didn't she send a quote to that one Charli interview only saying nice things about her? What the mess

Taylor Swift
Which is what makes it even better! Statement is, "I've healed heartbreak before, therefore I can do it again!"

Taylor Swift
Clara Bow and The Manuscript seriously need to switch places in the tracklist!!!! Imagine The Manuscript ending the more focused album half about a messy rebound with a callback to a previous dead and buried relationship and how she ultimately parted with it. Imagine Clara Bow ending the more whimsical folksy Anthology with a reflection on other creative female figures that have had their stories told and names placed on pedestals for the next generations. Why in the world was this not done it would've been perfect!

All I do is pray the Ticketmaster Toronto date mistake is somehow real and there's a 7th show coming

Taylor Swift - 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT'
Sone songs on this album are way too ******* sad. I would like to name the way she sings "Will I always, will I always wonder?" in Chloe or Sam as the most heartbreaking moment in her entire discography.

I'm still shook by the fact that My Boy is solo written. She hasn't solo written a song that banged this hard since Speak Now.

Taylor Swift - 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT'
Does anyone else think Clara Bow and The Manuscript should've swap places? Lyrically and sonically, they feel like they should be bookends of the opposite albums.
