Madonna was asked about Cyndi Lauper during Confessions on a Dance Floor promo, that's the only time in the past twenty years I can think of that she's spoken about her (going back further, she brought Cyndi up during her SNL monologue in 1985, not sure of any other instances where she was mentioned).

She seems to be cool with a few paps in New York; she invited Miles Diggs to shoot her pregnancy announcement photos (her first pregnancy), and later invited him to shoot photos of her at the Super Bowl. And, with this particular photographer, Cesar, he's got (or had) a video on his instagram of Rihanna inviting him backstage to the Anti Tour and posing for a photo with him, he also posted a video of Rihanna saying hello to his daughter in NY.

Looks like they've scaled down to smaller venues. The arena show in my city was canceled and today they announced it would take place, on the same day, in theater instead.

Yeah it's sad tbh. A couple dancers have posted on their instagram that they're either back home or on their way.. feels like the end of an era in Madonna's career.

for what it's worth, Madonna has checked out of her hotel in Rio and is currently in the air back to New York, where she'll be arriving in the morning.. I've seen a couple comments on social media raise the idea that maybe this means she might attend the MET Gala.

I've seen other outlets say 2.5 million as well… I have to wonder, perhaps earlier in the evening there was 2.5 million and some people left when it became clear she wouldn't be on til 10:30-11:00 PM? Like, people with families? I can definitely see casuals hanging around early but leaving when it got late for them.

I had the thought last night that, if she had done a free concert in, say the US, that was broadcast live across the country on one of our more popular stations (first of all, where would it take place.. NYC? or on a beach in Miami?), but I have to wonder how many people might show up.. could she draw more than a million? Or perhaps safety regulations regarding crowd sizes in the US might prevent it, not sure..

was thinking how crazy it is that I was so easily able to get tickets within 2-5 rows from the stage at multiple dates in the US, only to see Brazilians queuing and losing their minds for this show

for everyone here in the US using the Globoplay app, are you on the Multishow channel? I'm hoping I did this right, they have a countdown clock in the left corner of the screen (about 10 minutes), I just didn't use any vpn service

This is what I'm hoping for when I get in later and looking to set it up. The thing giving me pause is that supposedly Madonna's record company didn't give the ok for it to be broadcast internationally, so I'm gonna try not to be disappointed if it doesn't work out. The Billboard article mentioned Sling (which I don't really see anyone talking about), so I'm also going to look at doing their free trial.

Is there any chance we won't need the VPN thing? and it might be available to be streamed for anyone with the Globoplay app?

if she can get into the Best Original Song category, I can see the overall voting body going for her. And if Dianne Warren can get into Best Original Song 18 or however many times, I don't think it's implausible to think Swift could eventually get nominated.
