cloudbusting

GP said I h8 it

smart? let's stick to more realistic things like the visuals premiering in 5 minutes

you were circlejerked for praising other blander songs and deriding her innovative genre-blending numbers while having that avi

get rid of this post instead

fixed it

doesn't need to promote even in a hands-off manner, fulfill merch orders, accurately describe products, understand what terms like "limited edition" and "bonus track" mean etc because she's the queen!

because only we remember The Bangs

Sweetener is my favorite Ariana album and Radical Optimism is shaping up to at least equal Future Nostalgia for me, so Myah Marie is the only option

tbh I think I'd love Bey featuring on a Florence track more - that kind of ethereal vibe would be so different for vinyl errorteuse like Bey having a haunting moment

the otherworldly harmonies they could make together… a dream collab for me

so quick to try and bring other people's husbands into some mess, it's like they have a humiliation kink

and not just revealing so much, but something so painful. As much as I love Lemonade, I'd totally understand if she distanced herself from most of the album over time to not sit around in those particular feelings

well I'm caught up what the **** was that

20 pages to catch up on because I decided to live life a bit, but I heard from a trusted source it was amusing

WDYLM is kinda camp I feel

In general yes, I agree with this outlook because everyone's interpretation is going to be colored by their own experiences, thoughts, feelings, etcetera and that is one of the really magical things about music: it can be used as a lens to process other things. That being said, the majority of this song is not so subtly about sex. The intersection of sexual liberation and racial identity are important, and Bey has definitely been vocal about that in her music and elsewhere, but I think trying to draw overly literal connections to lynchings and sundown towns here in particular kinda misses the forest for the trees. Tyrant does feel like a conversation about power in sexual politics, but more on an intrapersonal level kinda like how @BGKC elaborated.

Like YES she puts a lot of thought and intention into her work, but when we start looking for hidden meanings like this… it's just too much NOW THE WORLD WILL BOW TO LUCIFER all over again

the way this song gets me teary-eyed thinking about people who are still alive

that's how she hits the UNIQUE! in AS

Hiss > Texas Hold 'Em > yes and (ft. Mariah) > WCBF > yes and the rest are whatever to me

wait

most of them can't even spare $1.29 for their assorted faves' releases
