i listened to little snippets of all the songs i think (i don't wanna listen to the full album in poop quality) and it's def not what i was expecting at all and using reputation instrumentals to promote it was interesting choice. also last night when i read the 'almost romantic' lyrics i thought it was funny but today im not laughing. it's incredibly dumb of her actually. charlis song was an incredibly nuanced song about the pressure of being in proximity to the biggest pop star in the world and taylor wrote a petty diss track that doesn't even seem like it sounds that good......

ive never really liked her at all BUT i luv it is like seriously one of my fav songs rn and im also living for chanel 5 and he knows like... im perched for this release. im loving the clips from rock in rio but im not 100% expecting to like the album as a whole just cuz shes never really been an artist i enjoy (because of her voice mainly ) but im very excited to hear what she has in store

same girl... the listening party experience for me was so lame. the music was quiet and everyone there was lame and looking at me weird for being hype and wanting to dance like hello its charli xcx but as soon as i got in the car i downloaded the le*k and blasted it adhkhdahjdhal i cant get enough

y'all will complain about everything the song BANGS ! yeah it's repetitive buuut she's releasing a club album so i would get ready for a lot of songs that are made for that in mind not necessarily "proper" pop songs. beat goes CRAZY here like when the first chorus hits it fills my body with electricity like the swelling synths and the bass it just comes together SO WELL !!!! lyrics are fun and cute and infectious. still after like 2 months of hearing the snippet it's stuck in my head constantly. cannot WAIT for this album it's going to be SUCH A GAG !!!!!!!

after first listen i loooooove the personality that's just ALLL OVER this album !! shes definitely having so much fun making this music and i'm so excited to see where she goes from here since this is her "rebirth" album ! faves (minus singles which i love): wet va*ina, 97, shutcho, agora hills, skull and bones, WYM only ones i wasn't crazy about (mainly lyrically): FTW and go off (idk just didn't click but might change after playing it more tomorrow) definitely my favorite body of work from her !!

was not crazy about nymph when it released but since this remix album was announced i gave the album another go and i loooove it !!! i think it's hella underrated there's so many good songs on it and the whole project is just a sexy vibe. very excited for this to drop on friday

my thoughts after the listening party last week is that this is her best album ! the production slays, i think she eats with this concept and overall the album feels less gimmicky that crybaby and k-12 and don't get me wrong i love those albums but there's only so much you can do with that and i felt with k-12 she was hitting a little bit of a creative wall. i thought the lyrics were not good at all at times, the songs were way too literal (the principal especially) so i'm glad to see this switch up. and glad that she's still continuing this story but in a way that she has a much more broad scope of things she can write about other than being a baby and going to school 😭

i feel like taco truck is lower on my ranking than i think it would would if it didn't have the venice b*tch remix at the end i love it and i think it's fun and i dance every time it comes on but all in all it is a remix from a song that came out in 2018 and i'm more focused on what's new yk... still eats tho

i will say the judah smith interlude makes me quite uncomfortable i do however get why it's here and lana's connection to what the pastor is speaking about (love vs lust and speaking against men leaving their families for other women) and the atmosphere of the muffled recording with the piano is beautiful. i just don't enjoy hearing pastors 😭
