It's her fifth single this year, this is actually doing good considering this. Still, it can be sensed she is completely overexposed right now and people are getting tired. I think one of her longevity secrets was always being unproblematic and and being there without being overexposed, so I am a bit worried about this whole situation, as I can see people turning away after this era.

The witch hunt against Shakira is quite insane right now. Like 3 different people appared the same day saying she is a horrible employer and person, Piqué was always faithful etc. and the exact same day, suddenly the old tax news is also everywhere again and presented as new. The Piqués invested money, I can see that.

It's literally old news that was just launched by the press again. They do it everytime she releases something, it's tiring. Spanish Hacienda is known for doing these things.

Chill, it's out in 5h and she gave us a video preview that looks stunning. It's absolutely not my style, but I have a good feeling about this and really hope it is indeed a political song - just so I can see Mrs. Mebarak break the internet for another time this year.

I think it's obvious she is kind of afraid of releasing in English at this point. That's why I would have loved for her to release the Spanish album back in February, smash with it effortlessly and then go over to use the hype around her to test the waters for some english material. Jump on some collab with a major american artist and if things go well, lead up to an english album. If it flopped, no harm would be done as she would have just released her best selling album in more than a decade a few months earlier, so she'd be fine.

She has been saying this for the last 3 years now... honestly, the problem is not that she isn't releasing the album or that she doesn't tour but the fact she wouldn't be transparent about it.

It was very possible. Karol G did it and Shakira had more than enough hype back in January to do similar numbers to Mañana Será Bonito and get a #1 if released in a week with no other mayor release. I really hate her perfectionism so much. Especially because many times she would switch things up so many times that the end result isn't even the best she had.
