HDD: Final #1 Ariana 182k; #5 Sam 42k
It’s BEEN false, I don’t know how many people need to flop/underperform until stans realize that likes have zero to do with how music will chart. The most successful artists right now barely use social media, especially Twitter.

HDD: Final #1 Ariana 182k; #5 Sam 42k
Hmm I expected at least 300k from her but I guess it could be worse. Sam delaying the album and changing the name definitely screwed up their momentum. I’m sure they’ll recover fine though

ZAYN : 2.2M Spotify debut
Another example of social media hype not translating to actual numbers. I like his collaborations more than his solo stuff so hopefully there’s a few of those lined up

H100: BTS 2x #1, Mood #8, Ice Cream #13
How did her career nosedive so quickly? It’s so odd
-
TOTC: WAP to block Drake from #1, Miley #14
A multi week #1 debut we love to see it I remember when someone disagreed with me here about #1 debuts becoming the standard.

Billboard: Bieber #1, SAVAGE to be back at 1 next week
All that drama for that song to be out of the top 10 a week later
-
HDD: #1 Weeknd 135K #2 5SOS 132K #4 Dua 62K
The album is still great but I don’t know how many times this will have to happen for y’all to realize Twitter≠GP

H100: The Box 5x #1, Dance Monkey #5
Isn’t this on a commercial?! I swear her whole discography was made for target ads

Performed in memory of Kobe and Gianna Bryant

H100: The Box 3x #1, Godzilla #3 (22º top 10 on rapper)
I think she’s doing fine without a top 40 hit and every release she gets closer
-
H100: The Box 3x #1, Godzilla #3 (22º top 10 on rapper)
Good to know! Don’t Start Now sounds just as fresh as New Rules. Nice to see her risks pay off Her fans did say she’d snatch another top 10 so I guess y’all did win ??♂️

H100: The Box 3x #1, Godzilla #3 (22º top 10 on rapper)
Is this Dua’s first top 10 in the US?

Billboard Charts (January 12-18, 2020)
I’m expecting it to peak on radio soon too. My concern is how well he does with the new UGC rules. The whole meme thing is a part of his shtick. So I’m interested in how his next single outside of his most recent EP will perform.

Billboard Charts (January 12-18, 2020)
I know but it’s peaked on other streaming platforms. I assumed YouTube was his strongest platform because of OTRs stability.

Billboard Charts (January 12-18, 2020)
I wonder if he would’ve broken the record if this was the rule to begin with. Maybe virality will become less of an advantage eventually. Edit: Don’t know what Panini dropped to but it’s making me a little nervous about his next era.

FINAL: Selena #1 with 116k, Roddy Ricch 109k
These are decent numbers for a part-time pop star
-
Final: Harry Styles 476K
Interested to see how it holds up next week. I don’t have a problem with merch or tour bundles but I think that we should put more value in longevity than first week numbers.

Hot 100: #1 Circles #8 Everything I Wanted #3 Good as Hell
Does TikTok count as UGC?
-
H100: Lose You To Love Me #1, Good as Hell #6, LAHN #27
I wonder if OTR could go top 10 again based off its streaming #1 again 7 months after release on US YouTube.
-
H100: Truth Hurts retuns #1 (7x), Lights Up #17, GAH #20
It's doing really well on Youtube and Radio! Youtube and Spotify seem to be his strongest platforms.
