People felt it was going to be like Adele, since she hired the same company. But for whatever reason the stage was canceled and they used her old stage:

It's crazy because almost all the tickets sold based on those early images of the stage. People planned trips based on this, and now they see the reality of what they will be getting.

This is different from being cheap. Its like buying a high-tech TV from an advertisement, then the TV arrives and its an old TV. She duped her fans.

I'm close to shocked Shakira would do this to her 2nd strongest market. I don't think it's her though, it's her greedy touring team that wants to maximize their profits. They see her as a money making machine and don't care much about the fans. I can only image what it must feel like to buy tickets with the advertised stage: Then you show up the day of the show, excited to see the huge screen you were promised when you bought the tickets.... and you see this. It gets even worse, this is not even the stadium stage, this is the arena setup stage. You can tell because the sides are smaller than usual. I wonder if this is bad enough that even lawsuits are an option. The stage looks nothing like the advertised stage, its just her old arena setup. Fans expected a Shakira version of the ADELE residency, and they got duped. How can Shakira do this to her 2nd strongest market? She truly has the worst team in the entire industry. You know, the tickets are already sold, why not use the old stage and make the profits bigger? I was thinking of flying to Spain to see the show, thank god I didn't. Shakira's team is so bad that you almost can't buy tickets ahead of time anymore. You'll always fear you'll get duped again by her touring team, These things always happen to her and only her. She needs a new touring team, but she'll never get one for who know what reason. Awhile back I heard she still had people on her team that ANTONIO hired. The guy that stole money from her. I see so many posts online that says "Shakira, I love you, but this is horrible." Shakira is ruining her image by duping her fans. People online are complaining, laughing at her and angry.

She was immensely talented and a great person. The true GOAT.

JLo, Shakira and Mariah have done a great job of maintaining a naturally look. Plastic surgery has gotten much better because even Cher looks good now. She fixed her face. Madonna fixed her face as well.

This is likely the real reason. It's a TV show. They give awards to people that are committed to the show. I also get the feeling there's payola involved. Pay up, get a good spot, noms and a performance.

i bet if asked Kylie would love to record a couple lines for the song. It would push it to #1 for sure. Kylie being involved in another #1 would excite her base.

This to me is the biggest mystery. That song is so old. I get it having solid streams, but competing for #1 is odd.
