They have abandoned the mixx part of their sound and I thought Love Me Like This was a success enough for jyp to continue with that sound. But they switched again with Rollercoaster and Party. They dont have a distinct sound or vibe, still trying to see what sticks even though LMLT was right in front of them. It went top 10 on the singles chart and earned them their first win, I dont know why they deviated from that.

tbh Stars Dance marked Selena becoming a force in music. These are pure sales from her album and the streaming is a bit off as well as Wolves has over 800 million streams and Back to You is about to hit 600 million. Before Stars Dance, she never cracked the top 20 on the hot 100 and didnt have a number one album so her career is a weird mix of longevity and luck

Kiss and Tell had two singles bro Falling Down went 80 something and Naturally didnt impact radio until 4 months after the albums release and was the last single. Its amazing that she sold that much of Kiss and Tell

With that being said, her entire career is about longevity so first weeks have never been a thing with her

Fun facts about selena it took 4 albums to get a #1 10 years to get a top 3 single let alone #1 she was gone for 4 years she released one single and then released another song. Let both die with one performance the fact that it’s consistent with revival is a ****ing miracle at this point, just like everything else in this girls career
