The notion that Rihanna was only a singles artist was always b.s Sure she sells much less than Taylor or Adele however she sells just about as much as Beyoncé and she sells more than Gaga or Katy. It’s not her fault she has massive singles each era. But to act as if her albums stop selling once the lead runs its course is ridiculous

You think she had her dancers wearing Savage xFenty for no reason? You think she sold official NFL merchandise cause she was bored? You think she got 0 profit off owning her masters when her streams got boost?

Welp there goes the “no iconic performance drag” Her halftime show is STILL being recreated and people think her breaking the record is fake. LOL The public loved it!

Damn 2023 was absolutely going to be her “comeback”. Just doing the Super Bowl off old music makes sense, but to then embark on a rumored tour/ with major festivals lined up without new material doesn’t. An album exist it’s just a matter of her agreeing to release whatever version of it.

I will never understand people acting like TIWYCF is some sort of career defining song for Rihanna Like she will likely neverrrrrr perform that song live yet people act like it’s her “Umbrella”

I see where it could be confusing but imo there’s clear distinction between all brands. For starters Rihanna owns the Fenty Maison trademark not LVMH ( so ultimately it doesn’t matter if Fenty Maison ever comes back she’s free to use that logo as she pleases) but note Fenty Maison originally housed perfume. By the time the fashion house closed it was already produced. They would’ve lost money if they just shelved it, so the decided to sell it via Fenty Beauty. Notice there’s a difference in the “Fenty” that was previously used with PUMA and the one announced today. Yeah, She’s bringing “FentyxPuma” back but it’s thru Fenty Maison the backwards F was its signature trademark. Agree on SavagexFenty name, I’ve always hated it. It just sounds gimmicky

How many times does she have to say she had NO CLUE she was pregnant, why are ppl acting like she intentionally sat down and planned a pregnancy during her “comeback” Was she supposed to abort her child just to appease total strangers? She’s embraced her pregnancy and still fulfilling commitments.

Y’all gotta pick a side and stick to it. So when Rolling Stone or NYT rate your faves albums with glowing reviews that is considered acclaimed but when those same publications give a positive review of a performance it’s not? You don’t have to like the performance (that’s your personal opinion) but fact is multiple publications gave the performance good reviews and even ranked it in the Top 10 list. That’s not gaslighting by a fanbase.

I love how y’all credit Nicki for all the things Lil Kim paved the way for. But unlike Queen Bee, Nicki success & popularity is 95% due to her having big pop songs, the “rap” career y’all speak of is not as influential.

Sad how insecure a lot of Popstars are. - Sure everyone edits their pictures but if you’re talking down on other peoples looks OR singing/rapping about how good your body looks it’s hypocritical af to turn around and heavily edit yourself to appear smaller than you really are.

Are you being obtuse just for the sake of it orrrr In the article it quite literally says she never stopped recording music and gave specific reasons as to why the music she recorded over these 7 yrs has yet to be released. She felt immense pressure to live up to Anti and in doing so…She fell out of love with songs. Its so funny to see people say well she should just drop a single(s) she did that exact thing in 2015 and got DRAGGED to hell & back for the songs sounds and chart performance. So let’s not sit up here and lie like anything from her will be well received with open arms
