My first thought was the bread because it was more like cake.

I still remember the days when BTW was thought of as an underperformance from TF/TFM and that it was frontloaded... Only for it to become one of the definitive cult classics of the 2010s and for several tracks to go viral and give it a second wind. Gaga was truly ahead of everyone else with BTW so I'm glad it's been getting its flowers the last few years. The fact that every song on that album could go viral because it's just that good. I don't even know how anyone could ever top that album for me.

What the ****, I am half way and this is absolutely incredible. I liked Harlequin beforehand, but seeing her perform the songs live brings the songs/ music alive. I am so jealous of the people who got to see this performance live; it's no wonder she got rave reviews.

First time posting in the base in forever but I saw Gaga last night for the first time in Melbourne and it was the best night of my life. I've been a since I was 14 (I'm 31 now hihihi) so I felt like a teenager again. I got so emotional when she left the stage, it was like saying goodbye to mother. I will say that it's funny seeing some of the commentary around Brooklyn Nights because the crowd was really into the song and seemed pretty captivated/ engrossed by the performance. I was so excited to hear it live, and my friend who I was with was stoked she sang Edge of Glory!

I beg some of you to expand your music palette and listen to other genres of music, because Man's Best Friend is hardly a country album. Obviously songs like Manchild and Go Go Juice have clear country influences, and there's a touch of country here and there throughout. But the album is a pop album that is channels Abba/ Scandi-pop and disco/80s pop. Like listening to the album, my immediate thought was that it was super Abba coded and I don't know anyone that would call Abba remotely country

I keep coming back to Freedom; the way she sing-talks the verses reminds me of her leaked demos from the Animal/ Pre-Animal era.

On my first listen, and I'm loving this album more than I expected! I was underwhelmed by High Road and Gag Order, and wasn't feeling the singles excluding Joyride and Boy Crazy so was nervous going into it...But Freedom, Red Flag, Glow, and Too Hard are excellent! I also found myself enjoying Delusional and The One a lot more in the context of the entire album. Still not feeling Yippee-Ki-Yay, it's a skip for me. This is easily Kesha's best album since Rainbow.

The last album by Pink that I loved. I saw her live for the Beautiful Trauma tour and it was fantastic!

I understand what you mean about TFJ; I cried listening to Are You Satisfied the first time I ever listened to it because it was the first time someone put how I was feeling in a song like that!

I've not been able to stop playing POP all week. I adore how the album is about deciding to transform for the better, put yourself, and embrace your inner child and not letting anyone dim your light. Adult Girl, in particular, gets me so emotional thinking about how as I get older the more I just want to be silly and have fun because I was so serious as a child. I'd rank Marina's albums: 1. Froot 2. Electra Heart 3. Princess of Power 4. The Family Jewels = Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land 5. Fear + Love But, I think POP could overtake EH over time. Froot is one of my favourite albums of all time so it's hard for almost any album to top it.

This album is for the girlies who loved both The Family Jewels and Electric Heart!

Not Zombieboy gone SAVE: Vanish Into You OFF: Shadow of a Man

This is the first Marina album since Froot that has no skips and where the worst songs are still entertaining and enjoyable. It's leagues above F+L and ADIAML, but doesn't quite reach the same highs as Froot and EH. I'm not sure at the moment how I'd rank it against TFJ, so at the moment I'd have to say POP = TFJ. 1. I <3 You 2. Everybody Knows I'm Sad 3. Rollercoaster 4. Adult Girl 5. Final Boss 6. Digital Fantasy 7. Princess of Power 8. Cuntissimo 9. Butterfly 10. Je Ne Sais Quoi 11. Metallic Stallion 12. Hello Kitty 13. Cupid's Girl Green are all S-tier songs, which I instantly clicked with on first listen and may end up among my all-time favourite Marina songs - they're easily all 10s. Gold are A-tier songs so they're all great, but most of them took a few listens for me to get into. Digital Fantasy and Je Ne Sais Quoi, in particular, have grown on me so much the last couple of days. Red are all good to decent songs but I could see myself eventually skipping Cupid's Girl, which easily has the weakest chorus for me. I find Hello Kitty a bit repetitive, though I do like the lyrics. I love the sound and Marina's vocals in Metallic Stallion, and it's a beautiful song but honestly I can't really relate to the song on a personal level so I think it might end up being a song I only go back to occasionally.

I'm still processing my thoughts on this album, but my initial impression so far is that Princess of Power is Marina's most campy, theatrical, and fun album since Froot. It's also her first album without any skips for me since Froot - I only find myself listening to half the songs on Love + Fear and ADIAML.

True, and I'll not be surprised if it's a cute cameo given that season two was being filmed in Ireland while she was promoting Joker 2, Harlequin, Disease, and preparing for/ filming the music video for Abra. Her schedule was probably quite tight so I'm not sure how much time she would've had to film more scenes. Plus at least this means she's gotten to work with Tim Burton, and now she's on his radar so maybe he'll want to hire her for future projects. Gaga in a Tim Burton-helmed project would be a natural fit for her.

This is what I was expecting her Coachella performance of Zombie Boy to be like... I would not be mad if they included it in S2 of Wednesday.

I think I read somewhere that it's meant to be a cameo, so I always thought she was going to appear in one, maybe two episodes.

I am going to need that performance on YouTube ASAP because Gaga killed that stage

I need this song NOW, it sounds like a classic Marina banger! We're getting fed this era. Butterfly, Cupid's Girl and Cunttisimo are all 10/10 so far. This might end up being her best album since Froot

Boy Crazy and Joyride make me so nostalgic for old-school Kesha. They're a natural evolution of her sound from the Animal, Cannibal, and Warrior eras. Not a big fan of either Yipee (or however it's spelt lol) or Delusional, but if the rest of the album is like Boy Crazy I'll have to come back from retirement and stan Kesha again.

That said, I absolutely adore Green Light, Liability, and Tennis Court; they're some of my favourite tracks of all time.
