we do love longevity- Best Selling Solo Female Songs in 2017...so far!
it's so sad that female mainstream music can essentially be summed up in 10 songs meanwhile there are plenty of songs released by male artists that have had strong relevance this year. this is literally depressing.- J03Y's NEW Euphonic Jams Chart
EUPHONIC 30 JAMS Kesha has earned her EIGHTH All-Kill - with her song Praying, and album Rainbow, tying with Lady Gaga for most All-Kills. This makes the 53rd recognized All-Kill in my chart's history, which started back in 2012. Believer by Imagine Dragons has the highest gains in streams for the week. We have two new entries, both that have almost insurmountable last minute streams that amounted to their inclusions: What About Us by P!nk, released just this Thursday Loyalty by Kendrick Lamar, assisted by Rihanna EUPHONIC 10 ARTISTS EUPHONIC ALBUMS TOP 15 HIGHEST RANKED SONGS 1. THE EUPHONIC JAMS COUNTDOWN CHART So way back when I was previously active on this forum I had a personal countdown that I discontinued, but I enjoyed doing it so I'm deciding to do this again. This time around, though, I'm going based off my ZERO last.fm chart records. If you don't know yet, last.fm designed a special program called ZERO Charts where all the data compiled from your records from last.fm are turned into a weekly chart. If you want, you can follow my ZERO charts, but since I'm pretty much compiling everything in my countdown this will pretty much be the place where everything official is gonna be. I've been working on finding a nice median between the records from last.fm and records that I know don't particularly count because of inaccurate tagging and misnamed downloaded songs - so there's certain stats that I particularly recognize (particularly with All-Kills). But, basically, any particularly standout stats will be updated with each week. Each week, I'll be posting the 30 most streamed songs of the week, and the top 15 highest ranking songs of the week. As part of a process to calculate the top 30 songs of the year, I base it on a special algorithm that takes into account 1) what songs I listen to most frequently (streams) and 2) what songs I tend to favor more preferably (rankings) - so I'll be posting these two lists up to give yall a sort of perspective of why I tend to stan certain songs that actually don't have seemingly impressive streaming numbers. I'll also be posting up a top 5 albums of the week list, as well as a top 10 artists list. I'll generally keep the OP updated with what's currently up on the chart. Certain records I'll be keeping exclusive to the OP will be: All-Kills Songs I recognize to have gone #1 Diamond and Platinum certified albums Diamond certified songs Any others I can think of in the future.... Thanks for checking my chart out guys! I'll try to update weekly around Sunday or Monday. As of right now, I'm compiling the first update of the chart. But like what's the real problem though? Streaming is a vastly different type of digital climate from individual sales. what matters the most for streaming is, well, to be streamed. the more it's being listened to, the more it's popular. sure the threat of bots spamming streams is real, but are you saying that my stream isn't valid just because i don't feel like paying umpteenth dollars for a Tidal subscription? like Tidal needs to be discontinued, but this is not one of the reasons why. this is actually kinda cool they do this for some of the artists they make deals with. essentially, this is on par with labels putting songs at 69 cents on iTunes for cheap attempts at pushing a song up the digital charts (now THAT is a dirty business practice. it should say something that nobody wanted your song when it was at its normal price, it only makes sense to discount it if it's doing well on streaming and radio enough to justify that maybe people might actually buy it if it were more affordable.). only except this time, there's no pricetag on something where there being a pricetag would miss the whole point of the medium - being freely accessible and people giving it streams because people actually like it.- H100: That's What I Like #1
