Bonnie’s had the time to obsess over every little detail because this re-recording is gonna be the most significant output of her career. Meanwhile Taylor has released 6 projects in 3 years. I doubt she has time to nitpick over the details in the same way…. Which is how we end of with I Knew You Were Trouble-tracks that sound just a smidge off. So props to Bonnie for delivering MPG quality production with her self-funded, self-produced indie project. It’s probably gonna sound better than the 2013 version would have.

She’s gotten her 2 biggest Spotify updates over the past 2 days. She got 16k yesterday, nothing huge, but great to see it still increasing after 2 weeks. Her monthly Spotify listeners have gone from 116,000 (before SLAY dropped) to about 179,000 now. Let’s keep it increasing!!!

Just passed 200k on YouTube & 100k on Spotify. Definitely seems to be outpacing anything else she’s released since Bombastic.

12k on Spotify and about 30k on YouTube seems pretty standard for a true indie artist that only has herself to promote. Pretty similar to like Hatchie or Fefe Dobson’s recent releases. just gotta keep spamming the song so Gay Twitter finds it.

I think she last year she initially wanted to just drop the full album as a gift for fans, but now that’s she spent the time & $$$ to re-record it, we’re getting a full rollout.
