Sorry Not Sorry officially ended the iconic smash hit Bon Appetit! This is Demi's first #1  Demi is the first "ex-act" to reach the top of the chart. SNS also surpassed Cheap Thrills for the longest climb to #1 (12 week v 10 weeks)

Taylor Swift's new single ...Ready For It reaches a new peak at #2, the former #1 LWYMMD returns to the top 5. Will she snatch her second #1 next week?  

Disco **** has become Tove Lo's highest peaking single (both Cool Girl and True Disaster peaked at #5)  

With Perro Fiel entering the top 10, El Dorado becomes the first album to yield 4 top 10 singles (Chantaje #7, Me Enamore #5, Comme Moi #4, Perro Fiel #9 *so far*)

TBH I thought Swish Swish would return to #1 this week. I was ready for Katy to become the second artist (after Gags) to replace herself at #1.

The end of an era. Lady Gaga's SMASHA Perfect Illusion has dropped out of the top 10 FOR THE FIRST TIME (#9-#20). Perfect Illusion still holds the record for the most number of weeks @ #1 (16) and the most number of weeks in the top 10 (60). This week's chart is also the first to not feature a Lady Gaga song since Week 7 (dated 9 September 2016) Goodbye Pi. Gone, but never forgotten.

I no longer report the weekly number of plays but SNS is doing really well! The most consistent number one since The Cure  PI's record isn't safe.
