Amy is such a good person for not destroying her, Jen is one of the lamest exband member of any band I have ever seen. Her talent is "enough" to be part of any succesful band but she never stood out, and her attitude is childish and far from professional.

She wasted a life time opportunity, she will be forever be known as the bitter ex-member of Evanescence that talk **** about a very beloved and legendary band.

You nailed it. She was competent at what she did, but she never had that 'spark.' Being professional is about so much more than just playing well; attitude matters a lot. Burning bridges with a band like Evanescence is, at the very least, a total lack of strategic vision for her own career.

Well sucks it got pushed back but tbh makes more sense for a single to be released with the album instead of the week before the album drops

Clearly some **** went down but the Ev fandom is so weird with its hatred for ex members lol. 16 year old me who was stanning The Open Door was also doing the same towards Ben and the other two (forgot their names lol) so I guess I get it to an extent

In reality, the fanbase's hatred toward Jen stems from the fact that she had an Instagram group chat with several moderators of fan pages dedicated to her. In this group, she would constantly leak confidential information about the band and share content, unreleased dates, snippets, the band's hotel locations, and who caught COVID. She also mocked Amy for having moments of anxiety and for her desire to work on movie soundtracks. The band's management eventually found out about this group and put her in "quarantine," telling her to stay off social media while they decided her fate. She got angry and accused the people in the chat of leaking the group, which led one of the members to go on Twitter and expose a fraction of what was going on, complete with some screenshots and info.

After that, even more of her "dirty laundry" started coming to light. The photographer who shot the session for her album, Inzenity, commented on a fan page saying that Jen never paid her (or took forever to pay, I don't remember exactly) for the photoshoot, and that she used to talk trash about Evanescence. To this day, the band has never made a scene or spoken ill of her; publicly, she was let go "amicably." Because of this, she's been playing the victim in interviews and making jokes as if she had no idea why she was kicked out.

Yeah I'm like semi familiar with her messiness but didn't read too much about it, But she clearly deserved to be booted lol. I'll still say that the fans take their hate of ex members wayyy to far. The entire thread of that Reddit topic is full of "I never liked her" "I knew I didn't like her" "she brought nothing to the band anyways" (which lowkey is true, the staring members are Amy and Will but that's besides the point lol)

In my mind it's a band issue, not ours outside of casual gossip. But as I already said, I was absolutely that teenage fan being messy about ex band members so … can't judge too much lol
