i upgraded from my 14 for similar reasons and went for pro max

i don't think the price hike for the pro max is that unreasonable when you consider how much you're gonna use it over the next 3 years or whatever

    the 17 pro max beats the 17 all the way but the 17 is no slouch. the 17 is basically a 16 pro with a few upgrades and a few things taken off (the zoom lens and pro features ) and they called it the 17
