RCA are known for destroying eras & albums rollouts. I can name so many album campaigns that has been destroyed by them. 

I mean it goes without saying that TikTok essentially carried her other album campaigns so it's really just a matter of if and/or when songs will catch on there and then RCA can start pushing them after they go viral. I've noticed she doesn't really have the legs to do it the other way around and JT is proof that the only secure metric RCA can provide is airplay. The rest is all up to the GP and what they decide to latch onto. Hopefully she plays some new snippets on TikTok soon, I mean even Atlantic is creating TikTok burner accounts just to leak snippets and test temperatures. The least Doja could do is make a quick video to a new song snippet.

An artist shouldn't have to rely on TikTok for their 4th mainstream album. I'm glad she is taking things seriously again, but she now has to undo the damage she did the past few years.

Oop yeah I also thought the PR machine would be in overdrive this era for some public image damage control but it looks like she's just putting her artistry first.

I'm not super worried, but this rollout has been very puzzling. It feels like it was all delayed for some reason considering all the teasing in the spring (followed by radio silence) and now they have suddenly ramped up to push it out without much thought to beat out Taylor's album bomb.

 

She should've dropped JT after musty gate.

She all of a sudden decided she wants to take promotion seriously.  But she should've done that several eras ago.
 

But honestly I'm just going to be thankful she's turning around on that.  But you not wrong…

 

I also Scarlet is kinda step back in terms of her overall growth, but that's a whole nother conversation…

My guess is vinyl production?…and maybe there's something aligning for Fall-to-early-next-year that maybe it made sense to wait on releasing music (VMAs, tour, Super Bowl 👀, special TV project, etc).

I think it's coming.  It's just that they thought they were going later, so we probably will have a flurry of magazine covers, etc in October.  Watch lol.  
 

Probably hard to reschedule those, since publications and TV shows are on their own schedules too.

no shade but that's prob my least favourite cover so far, paired with what looks like the best pressing so far...  hope the next 2 covers aren't looks that we've seen from the album trailer already, and i wonder when the "actual" cover will be revealed lol.
