Why this thread became a discussion of charts and numbers? 

That has nothing to do with retirement at all. Even when a musician is dropped by their label, they keep on releasing music as an independent artist most of the time. Numbers have nothing to do with a need for retirement. 

We live in the mainstream bubble here, but that doesn't mean that there's no outside to this. There are millions of artists out there that keep on releasing music without even hitting 100 streams. Let's be serious for a moment.

No. Gracie's here to stay for 20+ years like her swift mom and everyone will have to succumb to her music, whether you like it or not.

 

Also both Lorde and Gracie are amazing artists (who are also besties based off the insta posts that they made) so unfortunately this pitting doesn't make much sense in the long run
