It was certainly credible for all the Monsters when you guys were spamming the thread about it.  However, this story warranted a more in-depth investigation and yielded results that you are claiming are fake news because... you don't like it. Interesting.

It most certainly did happen. Unlike the claims that 2 million people attended Gaga's concert, when it's physically impossible to fit them in that space.

At the end of the day, we have no way of knowing how many people attended the concert. We will, however, be able to exactly how many people took part in ATRL's highly-anticipated Carly Rae Jepsen Discography Rate, which is still accepting ballots!

not sure what was "inflammatory" about this comment when all I said was that the reported number cannot be verified as it's impossible to count every single person present at the beach. which is an objective fact
