I understand the frustration because until now she was using just old promotion methods but happily her team got updated with marketing strategies, this will be good for her.

i mean if the album photoshoot is done, the booklet is ready and the physicals too, its like 99% sure the mv is shot!

I was thinking…could it be possible that she never intended to make the announcement on Wednesday? I mean, everyone expected her to do something on the 22nd. Maybe after the disappointments of the AI finale, the Met and March 14th she (and her team) thought they had to do something so that they wouldn't let us down. Could it be that the release date was always supposed to be on a later date? 

i don't think so, the insiders were pretty sure she was announcing on the 22nd, they had that info apparently. so something really changed

well, that's album related, not single related. we haven't received any info that talks about the single itself

yw! yes, everything you listed and pointed out can be absolutely true and correct. Everything is always in her team hands. If they for example had the announcement set for the day XYZ, it can happen that they can push it back whenever they want. The push back, if exists, can also be explained by the fact that they updated the other streaming services (eg, SoundCloud, Spotify) today to sature the wait.

Maybe because they thought that it was a normal way to do things. The leaks are done on purpose from people, and it's not her label's fault ofc!

All I know is that both Katy and her team have expressed the desire to have another big era. Katy has also seen how much support she's getting on social media platforms like TikTok, so I'm sure she's pumped up for this new chapter in her career as well. We'll just have to sit back and trust what they have planned, even if it takes a bit longer than expected. I wouldn't worry about "wasting" or "killing" hype, cause that comes and goes all the time.  

Oh.. she updated her Spotify account with the new logo, this morning she still had the Play promo pic, that's good news
