Also do you even know it other artists vinyl are recycled or not?

Maybe cause others don't splah paint on vinyl and then talk about money and chart hungry artist

I don't because we're talking about Billie Eilish in this thread, who does use recycled materials and therefore is doing a better job at a sustainable and responsible lifestyle than many other artists in the industry which does not make her a hypocrite for speaking out on this.

The Swifties running in here to yell "sHe DoEs ThE SamE tHinG" missing the whole point about Billie using sustainable and recyclable materials for her vinyls:rip:

hit dogs HOLLERRRRRRRR :dies:

She actually doesn't, only 2 variants (black and the GUCCI box) of Happier than Ever and the new one for WWAFAWDWG? for Interscope's subscription program (the 14th variant for it) are recycled. Clearly she's talking about focus on the packaging of the next album.

Her, Lana and Halsey are the trailblazers on releasing multiple vinyl variants out of the pop and alt girlies in the late 10s.

She is no better, but she has a point

She's not a hypocrite because of her past as a new artist. She was a young adult when she debuted at the whims of her label, but now she has more power and say over her career. Instead of judging her for her past actions, wait to see if she does unnecessary amounts of versions before calling her a hypocrite. People can change and realize what they can do with their influence.

Exactly. Posting all of her old 2017-2019 vinyls doesn't erase the validity of her statement... and her more recent vinyl releases DO use recycled materials, so she is clearly practicing what she preaches.

It's definitely about Taylor :bibliahh: Taylor is all about numbers. Drag ha Billie

I don't think swifties are aware of what recycled materials means.

Oh but she is doing the same... no? she is reusing materials to make hers.

And she is allowed to do that since she doesn't use a plane to go to the second floor of her house.

So you mean she/her team saw an error and decided to make a better and more responsible decision? Sustainable legend tingz :clap3:

They think Taylor is doing the same just because they've become quite familiar with recycling ever since she recycled Lover's sound in MIDnights.

Them being made with recycled material doesn't mean there's zero emission :rip: If releasing different variants is so bad for the environment and a sign of greed, why release them at all?

These people acting like she was going around being holier than thou and bragging about recycled materials from 2017-2022 :rip:  It's like they never heard of a 22 year old growing up and realizing they can do better

Shes basically shading Taylor since she is the one most known for doing it (the thing with each vinyl having a different song)

Shes shading her self as well like who is she to talk?

It doesn't mean there's zero emission (nobody said that btw), but it does mean that there's less harm being done to the environment, which was the entire point of her statement. She's giving her fans what they want while doing it in a way that is sustainable and responsible, which is all you can ask for from an artist in this day and age. Perhaps if you could separate yourself from Taylor Swift for just a moment you wouldn't take things like this so personally.

I hope this era of releasing multiple variants really ends soon. It's absolutely ridiculous lmao

HTE had multiple coloured vinyls, but not different songs on each one that forces you to buy them if want to have all the tracks. The later is just worst. Lavender, Till Dawn, 3am... all to get more sales and money from someone who is selling already very well. This is not your typical Standard/Deluxe version or regional editions (Japan) which are meant to keep sales locally in countries where importing albums is cheaper than buying them locally.

The way artists can make a totally valid statement and people on here run frothing at the mouth screaming "B-b-b-but what about that time you did this thing?!??" :toofunny2:
