The fact there's another artist doing a "unique" thing that you mention in this very post shows she's not just shading one individual, and that she's referring to the industry and its practices as a whole. That's all I'm saying

if you're genuinely angry over this you are so obviously missing the point, she's always made a point to be green and earth-friendly as possible throughout her career, this ain't a shot or a diss toward anyone for having variants, she's clearly talking about the environment, millions of cds and vinyls are bought for numerical advantage (and you're lying if you think it's otherwise) and are left to waste, with so many albums, especially in kpop, i see them buying millions of cds for a sale boost, then they end up throwing it away and not even using it. if you're gonna interact with this topic without nuance, don't engage.

She's right if you do like Taylor for instance with her new album and incite fans to purchase one album several times to get a different song. She's wrong on variants: variants or not, they will still sell and only a minority share of fans will be (crazy) enough to buy several times the SAME album with just different colors.
