Her backlash era 

 

It was released fresh off the tail of her blockbuster era "Missundastood" but was a huge underperformance for her in the USA, with a 90% sales decline to 750k overall compared to 5.6 million for Missundastood.

 

It was more successful in Europe and attained top 3 peaks throughout multiple European territorie and sold 3 million worldwide.

 

Four singles were released: Trouble, God is a DJ, Last to Know and Feel Good Time

It’s shocking how badly this performed. It couldn’t have been the music so many bops!

The production on this album is so amazing too. You can hear everything. Why can't she do that anymore. 

Probably her best album tbh. I adore the singles

The highlights are Trouble of course, the pinkprint God is a DJ for Born This Way, Waiting for Love, the hidden track Hooker and the sadly missed opportunity to become the best track on any of her albums, Free.

This album has been one of those that's grown on me a lot over time. Waiting For Love and Catch Me While I'm Sleeping are some of her best songs imo
