  • It made her work OVERTIME to repent and gave us her single magnum opus, cardigan   It gave us her album magnum opus, Folklore   Colors. Beautiful colors.

  • The first verse is one of the best moments in pop history

  • Great gowns beautiful gowns    Can only think of two

1. It didn't kill her career.

2 & 3. I'll get back to you on those!

Great melody, video is beautiful and Brendan as a featured artist is cool. I'd even add that most of the lyrics are cute.

The bridge obviously has flaws, but her own multi-millions of fans blew it way out of proportion to the extent that the whole song was awful ; disgraceful.

Even when Swift was bullied hard enough that she completely removed the hellish lyric her fans crapped themselves over, they STILL classified the song as awful when it's objectively fine.

Can we find three nice things fans did for this song?

If Kidz Bop is your idea of objectively fine, then sure :cm:

What's making it Kidz Bop'd to you Smore?

It's fun.

It's camp.

It's catchy.

Overhated song tbh, yeah it's juvenile but it lowkey bangs.

I really shouldn’t have to explain it. What makes the sky blue biggie smalls? :gaycat2:

You should because you made a claim but if you can't find the verbiage it's all good :)

It made 3 of my best friends temporarily stop playing her when we hung out

Thank you ME! :clap3:

“Hey kids, spelling is fun!” is actually funny and Taylor shouldn’t have removed it from the song

Do you treat every conversation on the internet like you’re in a debate forum :hoetenks: But ok fine. Kidz Bop, if you aren’t aware, is when kids cover pop songs. They haven’t ever made an original song that I’m aware of, but if they were to ever make one, ME! is what I imagine it would sound like. In other words, ME! sounds like it was written by a child. You’re not about to tell me the lyrics are actually subtly deep or that the production is super complex. It literally sounds like something my 7 year old cousin could come up with :cm:

1) you have a nice username

2) the gif in your profile picture is super colorful and fun

3) you seem like a nice person

I'm definitely not telling you that at all

As a 7 year old, your cousin may have great songwriting skills. You may find yourself telling that person who definitely exists that you're comparing them to Taylor Swift online-they may take it as a compliment!

I don’t see why it matters if my cousin actually exists or not lmao but nice job pivoting off the subject since you can’t defend your claim of it being “objectively fine”. Take care!

Second verse is kinda cute with both of them singing

It made people appreciate reputation more

It cleansed the palate

It’s a fun song

The Me-e-e part is catchy

I always found the lyrics cute

when she said spelling is fun. loved that

when brandon being silent

when benjamin made it's debut

The music video had a budget

Taylor looked good in a suit

Great gowns beautiful gowns

Verses and pre-chorus are cute. The chorus and bridge are very bad though that’s where the song just derails completely

MV is quality. High-budget, fun, cinematic

The promo run for ME! was amazing. She performed it at SO many shows and each one had a unique set. It was really impressive tbh lol. Those performances should’ve been for another song, but Lover was an ERA

:hippo:

cute fun song

the domino effect of this song + the pandemic + folkmore + the TVs made her as big as she is today

invented spelling

It’s barely more than 3 minutes long, so that’s a relief.

It’s tremendously funny that Taylor was not joking when she released it.

It might not be the worst song in her discography.

It’s cute. It just shouldn’t have been the lead single. If it was just an album track it would join her other campy, funny album tracks ala Stay Stay Stay, This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things etc

i dont find the song and video bad at all, just corny but still cute

now you need to calm down :pukey:
